Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro is to decree new regulations on car prices, as part of the special powers conferred on him to combat so-called "economic war" and corruption.
Inflation is running at 54 percent a year, shortages of basic goods are widespread despite the country's oil wealth and a hard currency crunch wreaking havoc on the import-dependent domestic economy.
Maduro has said he needs the strengthened hand to counter inflation and shortages, which his government blames on "parasitic" conservative business interests.
But critics have blamed the government's strict currency controls for exacerbating Venezuela's price distortion and fueling a black market for dollars.

nobody will be able to get a car
Oh wait, not many people can get access to a car in VZ right now. Sure the politically connected and the friends of those in the state can get a car without all the long waiting periods but no one else.
Maduro needs an up close and personal lesson on the pitfalls of the “redistribution” of wealth.
” inflation and shortages, which his government blames on “parasitic” conservative business interests. “

Maduro trying to out Commie Hugo Chavez
You can still get a tank of gas for 50 cents though.
This guy is Obama’s role-model.

It is always the fault of hte “greedy” capitalists who insist on making a profit from their labors and never the failed policies of socialism.
until the oil well equipment they nationalized breaks down and they cannot fix it, it’ll still bring in some $$
Still looks like there is some left. They still have some more industries to nationalize. The only thing left after that is to invade a foreign country like Columbia.
I wonder what would happen if someone dropped leaflets reminding them of the pre-Chavez days compared to now. Things like electricity that stayed on, food in the stores, toilet paper, etc... I’ll bet Maduro would claim it was never that way.
If collectivists were doctors, they would say that the cure to an infection is more bacteria.
I’ll take the Porsche Carerra for $500...
Affordable Car Act
I believe the democrats want to run the US in exactly the same way they are running Venezuela. Technically it is still a democracy, but it is a pure democracy, where 51% loots the 49%. They can stay in power forever that way, as long as the 51% stays greedy.
So,he’s now assuring that cars are added to the list of shortages.
you gotta wonder why they don’t build these things with a remote kill switch that scrubs the computers so that they have to be physically replaced to get the rigs working again, in a certain sequence, or it fries the new ones too.
They’ll have to import 57’Chevys from Castro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol
That would be such sweet cruelty.
