The question that I always pose to my liberal/socialist/communist acquaintances: How much would be enough? What percentage of my paycheck would make you satisfied enough that you would never demand more? I never get an answer. Never.

Wow. dems in Olympia (WA state) have proposed a 10 cent increase recently.

It will be interesting to see how many people will switch to bicycles and electric cars.

Democrats and taxes, and more taxes, and even more taxes. Followed by massive fraud and waste, requiring still more taxes!

This happens every time the price of gasoline drops. The Democrats figure that you have got used to paying $4.00 for gas, so you won’t notice as much. Funny thing is, when gas goes up, no one proposes cutting the tax. And they say the oil companies are greedy. Sheesh.

My old tagline needs to be aired again, despite the not so nice words....

“Democrats are bastard-coated bastards with bastard filling.”

(Excuse my French)

If I remember correctly, rising gas prices was one of the things that triggered the mortgage crisis. This is because many consumers had the dilemma of either paying their mortgage, or paying more to have some gas their tank, some consumers relucatantly choosing to gas up instead of paying the mortgage.

This unmitigatedly smug, little dick is Earl Blumenauer. I am ashamed to admit that when I lived in Portland OR, he was my congressman. He hardly reaches the description "man", much less congressman.

He's the posterboy for modern, effeminate America and embodies all that is banal, cowardly and traitorous about the Left in this country.

However, I don't hope that someone defecates in his mouth.

Only a third of current federal gasoline taxes make it back to the roads and bridges ?

The rest gets lost in DC and their pet projects.
