Amazing. The MSM is gushing over the Unemployment rate dropping to 7.0% as if happy days and blue skies are here again, and everything is just Jim Dandy.

The MSM makes no mention of the fact that 41% of the new jobs created were government jobs.

Gallup has the "Underemployment Rate" aka, the true Unemployment Rate at 17.4%

What the MSM is doing is criminal. Most Americans are busy with work, working two jobs, trying to find work, scraping to get by, taking care of their kids, elderly parents, etc...to learn the truth.

The MSM tells them the economy has turned around and things are fine. No wonder we have a majority of LoFo voters. Some are intellectually lazy. Others grew up believing the media, academia and our politicians were honest.

Yet when GWB was nearing the end of his 2nd term, the sky was falling, the US was on the brink of economic collapse, we were in the worst economy since the Great Depression and on and on and on.

Meanwhile under Obama, the Unemployment rate has remained high and stagnant and goes unreported.

When his job approval ratings fall to 38, 39% the MSM doesn't utter a word yet when GWB's job approval rating would fall a single percentage point it would be the lead story on every network.

I could give examples all night. I'm sure everyone here can as well.

The way the MSM gushes over this con artist and this clueless glorified community organizer is appalling.

The ACA website is still having major problems and wasn't fixed as promised by the December 1st deadline and again, nary a word by the MSM who would crucify a Republican administration for 1/20th of the disasters by this administration.

Bizzaro world. Up is Down. True is False. Choose any analogy you like. Pravda and TASS are amateurs compared to the MSM

Before “McJobs” we had the “Jobless recovery”

Obama has succeeded at “fundamentally changing the country”

We’re f*****d.

Some of us realize it. Most don’t. Not yet. When they do, guess who will be blamed?

The Dems along with the MSM wanted Reagan Impeached for “the appearance of impropriety”

Can Obama be Impeached for “overwhelming utter incompetence?”

Or the “the appearance of sabotaging the well-being of 300 Million Americans?”

At first I laughed. Surely no one could be stupid enough to believe this bee ess artist by the name of Bill Clinton.

Then I was shocked.

Now I just mourn for our Country and lash out at those responsible.

Krauthammer and Lou Dobbs were touting this as a major thing. I wasn’t buying an ounce of it.

Does anybody believe anything the regime reports? The unemployment rate is just another lie, sugar coated for the masses to nod “Thank you, master”.

At this rate, the lies will continue until the unemployment rate is zero.

One month’s data is meaningless. It is fudged anyway and will likely be revises.

Given the manipulation of the data under the last few administrations (this one being the worst) what really matters is the number of working age people without jobs, both in and out of the labor force. This shows underutilized labor in the market. Those people have to be fed, housed, and receive medical care. The more non-working the more demand for government paid social services and less revenue from income taxes. Increase employment and tax revenue goes up while demand for essential services goes down.

With only 63% of working Americans counted by the government as in the labor force, there is a huge amount of underutilized labor in the USA.

The trend also matters. No matter how much the monthly “unemployment” numbers are fudged, the six and 12 month trend of the number of people of working age without jobs is meaningful. Over the past six months that number has been at all time highs.

The financial impact of Obamacare on individuals and the mountain of environmental regulation being issued by the federal government will be hitting the economy hard in 2014 as well as many hidden taxes imposed by this administration via the affordable care act. As these costs are absorbed by consumers and the economy there will be a trickle down impact on inflation and unemployment. Add to these burdens raises in the minimum wage, which in turn result in automatic increases in some union contracts, plus rising interest rates and 2014 could see a dip in the economy.

Retail sales numbers for the Christmas season are not robust. Sales are down and inventories are high. If retailers miss their sales and margin numbers during the holiday season, Q1 2014 will be bad. If the Republicans cave in the current budget talks (perhaps I should say “when’) we will see an acceleration in deficit spending in 2014 as the sequester is lifted and unemployment benefits are extended.

The current press reports lauding one month of manipulated unemployment data are a smoke screen. There is little positive economic news except the rising stock market pumped up with easy Federal Reserve QE money. Ultimately that bubble will burst.

Well you have to hand it to the socialist/gay/humanist/secularist crowd. Their first priority was to get control of the media and they did. How? Through getting control of the universities that educate the journalists. Brilliant strategy.

When I was in college back in the late 70’s, I took an English literature class. Lots of journos in it. The prof was an open communist. Tenured. Wore a red star on his lapel of the same blue denim shirt he wore everyday. Told us communist countries were better off because they “stabilized society”, protected it from “unruly crowds”.

Imagine what things would be like if conservatives controlled the media today.

Will we ever get it back? Don’t know. But we can’t give up fighting, whatever the odds.

41% of those jobs were indeed government jobs and were, from what I am advised, people who had been previously laid-off and now were being re-called. Officially, those are NOT new jobs, they were filling already EXISTING jobs.

Just another damn play on words by the media and gubmint hacks.

A ‘New Normal’ November jobs report: The long emergency for US workers continues

...
1. There are still 1.1 million fewer employed Americans today than right before the recession started, despite a potential labor force that’s 14 million larger. And there are 3.6 million fewer full-time workers than back in 2007.

2. The employment rate, the share of Americans with a job, is 58.6% — exactly where it was in November 2009....

Great analysis! Democrats on Crossfire were trying to use the Unemployment Number to make points. More Democrat Con, as you stated, I quote;

Gallup has the "Underemployment Rate" aka, the true Unemployment Rate at 17.4%

And low info voters may never get facts talking to only Democrats.

Obama has created another way to artificially boost the economy.

Instead of printing money, he is now creating do-nothing government jobs to lower the unemployment rate.

3.2% unemployment in Government.

Of course, he will have to run the printing presses 24/7 to pay for these hundreds of thousands of “new” government workers.

And yes, the MSM is the most evil entity in the US.

They enable and encourage the likes of Obama.

Never could Obama get away with 1/20th of his shenanigans if the public was informed.

The goal of media and academia is to keep people in the dark, thus the ever-growing numbers of LoFo’s.

Since government jobs drain the economy rather than improving it, they should not count in employment calculations.

Well put.

Printing fake money to pay for government jobs creates no value whatsoever, just massive unsustainable debt and government drones that will vote their paycheck until the whole system comes crashing down.
