Agreed. Reid was and is a Foil (fool?) for Obama who refused to negotiate because of the failed or failing and hopefully collapsing AxxCA . Reid therefore sat on the bills to deflect direct blame from O who ABSOLUTELY KNEW his WWW site sucketh. It is the MSM that confused the issue.

The entire premise of this article is flawed. The shutdown was a idiotic idea. ...even Mike Lee is backpedaling from it. The thing that salvaged the Republicans was the disastrous roll out of Obamcare.

You're right, it was an idiotic idea, why do you think the Democrats pursued that idea anyway?

Senator Cruz stated all along he was against the Shutdown, all he wanted to do was not fund Obamacare. He was all for funding the rest of the government, just not the latest socialistic addition to the government called Obamacare.

Oh, and BTW, the whole thing was worth it given it smoked out all the fakers proclaiming they were against Obamacare and then did nothing about it.

It aid bare the hypocrisy of those GOP Senators and congressmen that were lying all along about being conservative and made it painfully clear to the voters, and especially the base, who could be trusted and who could not be trusted.

Yep, and he (Obama) and the dems caused the shutdown strictly because they wanted to force the American people into Obamacare.

The dems were sent Bill after Bill that would have funded the government. The ONLY thing the repubs asked for was that Obamacare either not be funded, or at the very least- delayed, in order to protect the American people from its devastating effects.

I hope Cruz and Lee will keep hammering these points.

When Mike Lee woke up and saw his poll numbers cratered with Utah Republicans....and he could very well lose in a primary he’s been running from the whole mess like a scalded dog.
