Austin, Texas: Erick Wyatt, a candidate for U.S. Senate in Texas, announced today that he will no longer seek the office held by Senator John Cornyn.
Mr. Wyatt stated, Effective immediately, I am stopping my campaign to spend more time with my family. I will continue to be an advocate for military, veterans, and families of the fallen.
Mr. Wyatt also announced the endorsement of his opponent, Linda Vega, a Houston resident. Mr. Wyatt said he has met with Linda and had multiple conversations with her over the last week. I have decided that she and I share the same point of view on most political topics. Linda is very active when it comes to military rights and that weighs heavily on my heart as a 15-year combat veteran, and as a husband of a Navy veteran who lost her first husband in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He also said he plans to meet with Ms Vega and her team in the near future to see how I can help her campaign.
Mr. Wyatt has been campaigning across the state of Texas for the last eight months. He thanks everyone for the support given to him during that time, and he encourages everyone to check out Linda Vega, as an alternative to Senator Cornyn.

So we have a four person primary, Cornyn, Vega, Dwayne Stovall and Chris Mapp.
We need to keep Cornyn under 50% to force a runoff!
Oops. Forgot about Connor. Five person race!
Whose the most conservative candidate, out of all of them?
I am not familiar with any of these people. Did Wyatt have any chance? Who has a chance of defeating Cornyn?
I think one of them was a Paulista but I don’t remember which or if he ever got on the ballot
Wyatt’s torched?...............
normally, all of these people would be called “also rans”
“Whose the most conservative candidate, out of all of them?”
I don’t know. I don’t live in Texas. I’ve heard some Texas freepers say some good things about Stovall. I’d like to see Vega take a big hunk of the Latino republicans. Anything to keep Cornyn under 50%.
“Wyatts torched?...............”
Now that’s clever!!
So Cornyn will breeze through the primary and be re-elected? Spit!
That is how I feel
8^)............
Not according to this article ... Could David Barton Win The Texas GOP Senate Race?
Who has a chance of defeating Cornyn?
A fairly convincing case above for David Barton (who has not thrown his hat into the ring yet).
*Who has a chance of defeating Cornyn?*

Well, I live in Texas and I’m going for Vega. The female gender is a plus and the Hispanic surname is a huge plus. Remember a guy named Ted CRUZ? The Hispanic surname helped him defeat a well-known, well funded, long-time Lt. Governor (David Dewhurst). We’ve got to get rid of that traitor, John Cornyn. He has fallen right in with the GOPe. I think Vega can take him out. The others; I really don’t think so. Only Ted Cruz could have defeated Dewhurst; only Vega can defeat Cornyn.
Sounds good to me, though while he criticizes Cornyn's failure to fight Obamacare, Shovall doesn't exactly say what he would do.
Wyatts torched?...............
Now thats clever!!

Indeed. But not everyone will know why.
I think Stovall should reveal a plan during a debate rather than lay it out for everyone to build talking points against this early...politics is a brutal game...
True, but there’s no question I’m voting for someone other than Cornyn in March. The decision I don’t want to have to make is whether I vote for someone other than Cornyn in Nov...
