LGF was one of the first political blogs that I ever read. It was quite good at one time. Then Charles began slowly taking on the color of the enemy, and never turned back. Didn’t take long for me to delete his bookmark.

He was a leftie who had the crap scared out of him by 9/11. Turned into a security hawk until the shock slowly wore off over the course of a number of years. He began reverting to form in earnest about the time W started going off the rails with the conservative base in early 2005, was bashing FR by 2006 with the sentiment being returned in kind, still some defenders here at that time. Quite a few FReepers also posted to LGF and one by one were banned. Dictatorial little *hit, imho, he brooked no debate of his increasingly weird positions. I'm surprised LGF is still around, myself. He killed it that thoroughly by 2008.

I’m proud to say I was banned from LGF for being too conservative.

Happened to me too. And a lot of others. I was left wondering if he had developed a brain tumor.

Haven't heard his name in a long time. I hope he recovers from whatever happened.
