They gathered at the homestead of George Washington, 15 miles from the capital city named for him. The purpose? To discuss how, safely, to revive an overlooked, but invaluable, provision in the United States Constitution to allow a supermajority of states to rein in a power-drunk federal government.
According to a press release issued after the Assemblys adjournment, They emphasized the importance of any convention being done in a way that accomplishes the will of the people while protecting the sanctity of the Constitution, as this action could ultimately lead to proposed amendments to the U.S. Constitution, as authorized under Article V. The subject matter of what those amendments would be was not discussed.

I have a feeling this thing is really starting to boil —
I hope you are right....just posted article t omy FB...thanks
That’s a fine video.
This is not a good idea. We don't have the numbers to win in a Constitutional Convention.
I continue to expect Comrade Obamatollah to be El Presidente/Mullah in 2017...and beyond.
If the choice is Hillary, or a blue RINO, is that much of a choice?
Remember this is a product. Saying you MUST buy a Ford or you HAVE to buy a Chevy is a bit misleading. Vote for who represents you the best, not for who you think is the least bad. Otherwise we conservatives might as well stop voting, because the GOP is going hard left.
I saw Kevin last night. He asked me about you. He told me you called an he told me about the next meeting in Indianapolis. I’m considering going since I was born in Indiana and the wife would like to go there to see where I grew up.
Rep. MacEwen has a great staffer with Kevin. I’m proud to have that team as my legislative leaders.
There will be some statements coming out about the process that went on at Mt. Vernon, soon.
He said that one of the leaders, [Tea Party candidate] Wisconsin Rep. Chris Kapenga is a man to watch in the future. According to Condratta this young man is smart, articulate, well educated on the constitution.
The next two meetings of the COS will be to determine how state representation will be handled within the states and to create an open chronicle of what is going on at the convention meetings to keep the media propaganda in check wherever possible.
My concern is that like the Tea PArty, the media will get very busy painting the Article V as a dark process to take over America for wealthy racists.
Yes, Kapenga is a guy to watch, he’s a friend and former neighbor of Rep. Drew MacEwen back when Drew was growing up in Wisconsin. Drew is a rising star in the Washington State Legislature too. Check out his legislative page, the guy sits on some serious committees and he was elected in 2012 to a seat that no Republican since 1932 had occupied.
Perhaps after the Indiana meeting, we’ll be provided some clear direction as to how we as citizens can help.
