NBC Quietly Deletes Mugabe from Obama-Castro Handshake Story
Breitbart ^ | 10 Dec 2013 | Joel B Pollack

Posted on 12/11/2013 12:14:02 PM PST by Dave346

Earlier Tuesday, NBC News reported that President Barack Obama had shaken hands with Zimbabwean leader Robert Mugabe. However, the UK Telegraph's Josie Ensor reported that Obama "was asked to take his seat just before reaching Mugabe." Complicating matters, another article in the UK Telegraph also claimed that Obama had shaken hands with Mugabe--in very similar terms to those used in the NBC article.

Breitbart News caught the discrepancy--and suddenly the NBC News article was corrected, with no notice.

Before:

On his way to the rostrum, Obama also shook the hand of Robert Mugabe, the strongman ruler of Zimbabwe, and hugged Dilma Rousseff, the president of Brazil, who has stridently opposed spying by the National Security Agency and criticized the U.S. government.

After:

On his way to the rostrum, Obama also hugged Dilma Rousseff, the president of Brazil, who has stridently opposed spying by the National Security Agency and criticized the U.S. government.

I’m told by libtards on Facebook that they were more offended by Ted Cruz walking out on Fidel’s brother’s speech than they were at Obama shaking hands with Fidel’s brother.

How many other Senators even went to the funeral?

They HATE (their own word) that man (Cruz) and can’t even explain why. Orwell’s 2 minutes of hate.

Obama bowed to Castro. Did Mugabe get a bow?

So Obamagabe is engaging in talks with Castro then? Nixon and Reagan WERE involved in discussions with China and Russia.

This is what happens when journalism takes a back seat to propaganda.

Joe Stalin airbrushing liquidated former colleagues out of official photos had nothing on Obama and our supplicant Press.

Yes but in a sane world he wouldn’t be POTUS! :(

And I doubt he’d make it as a third world dictator... those people *work* to get where they are. They could have Obama as a food taster, though. He likes to dine.

Mugabe is worse than Castro.

Castro's Cuba is faring much, much better than Mugabe's Zimbabwe -- on just about any measure you chose to use. For instance, Zimbabwe's per-capita GDP is the world's lowest. Cuba's is nearly 20 times higher.

Mugabe is so bad that the (British) Commonwealth of Nations suspended Zimbabwe in 2002, until Zimbabwe withdrew in 2003 (effectively expelled) mainly because of egregious and ongoing human-rights violations, elections fraud, etc.

“...ask any white Rhodesian farmer about Mugabe and his terr thugs...”

and try to buy bread in Zimbabwe...that wasn’t imported...into what was formerly one of the most fertile, productive agricultural regions of the world.

Obama is very much like Castro and Mugabe.

Except Mugabe is against LGBTs.

Mugabe is Catholic and refuses to knuckle under to homosexuals. I guess that makes him an “uncle tom.”

Zimbabwe: the future that South Africa will be.

Other than when it comes to sexual perversion. Mugabe may be a Communist dictator, but like Stalin, he is culturally conservative.

South Africa is a white American liberal colony in a continent that otherwise has little use for sex perverts.

And by golly, he’s gonna hold his staff accountable so something gets done. He’s gonna fix it, so he is.

You could argue that Mugabe is worse then Castro.

The Castros would imprison or murder people for political dissent. Mugabe does the same, but he also murders people for the sole "crime" of having white skin. This must make him an even greater hero in Obama's pantheon.
