House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) says he was “pushed…into this fight to defund Obamacare” and that those who pushed him “never really thought it would work.”

In his weekly press conference yesterday, Rep. Boehner said defunding Obamacare wasn’t his idea, but that of conservative groups—and he doesn’t care what they do next. …

Maybe it would be wise to think more than half a step ahead. Who would be in the running for Boehner’s post, were Boehner replaced by Ohio. Is this better or worse?

If We The People find our voice again, it won’t matter that Boehner is a limp rag. He’ll get with the program. Even weather vanes are useful when the wind can be made to blow in the right direction.

Let us not for the sake of purism jump from the frying pan into the fire. The Club For Growth tried that and the result was losing a number of GOP seats to Rats.

Don’t quit pushing. He is the man in the spot and maybe it’s good that he isn’t all full of himself. Winston Churchill is another example of a lib who got pressed into a semi conservative stance.

Exactly right. He wasn’t elected to help push the liberals’ agenda on the USA, but to stop them.

Well if I wanted to put heat on his seat, so to speak, I’d start in his district in Ohio. Simple, no? Get those folks to demand some backbone.

Poll after poll shows an overwhelming majority of Americans, both R & D, oppose Amnesty - yet Boehner is all for it.

And it’s probably not like it’s rocket science; Obamacare is set to hurt EVERYBODY. Get the clamor going from his district through some consciousness raising. Even a weather vane works when the wind is blowing in the right direction.

What has Eric Cantor to do with it. Red herring.

Forget “overwhelming majority of Americans...” — realpolitik is what is happening in HIS district. Seniority counts, whether or not we want it to. Let us make all we can of it. You just want excuses.

yes keep pushing Boner but

he’s been in that job too long already, failing and failing and failing and failing (apparently from all his recent statements, by design)

the harms to USA (and our liberty, and economy) just keep amassing

push Boner to try to make him start doing his job, yes.
but
if a political opportunity arises,
push him to retirement asap, too.

We definitely need someone else in that job, pronto!

I want excuses? Ha ha, hardly! I want him out of the Speakersip at a minimum, out of a job would be ideal.

We The People have made it clear and he hasn’t gotten with the program. You seem to think he will.

Assuming Cantor would be the next Speaker.

I think Steve King would be the best conservative because he is moderate enough on the farm bill and other issues.

Id rather they spend months on a perfect farm bill as long as it takes time away from amnesty.

He is sad in a pathetic sort of way.
