I guess the school board has nothing better to do than worry about a school mascot.

And what’s offensive? Why, it’s whatever some political hate group *says* is offensive — even if no one has ever been offended by it before!

Thanks Zakeet.

Some wit could have fun with this, by making truly offensive mascots, and then reporting sports as if these were those schools actual mascots. It could be even better if they used offensive verbs to describe the outcome of games.

The names “Lee” and “Jackson” have offensive Civil War connotations, I think you should change yours moniker to something less offensive. Like “Shiela Crack Ho”.

So much for monikers like, Lane High School Wetbacks, huh? Since many high schools have been inundated by crimigrant third world illegals, I always thought that would be an appropriate mascot. Just have some guy in a pancho and sombrero show up, soaking wet. Likely with a backpack full of marijuana.

This completely confuses me. Schools named their teams for something that they had no respect for, or wanted to put down? Really?

I thought it was an honor to be named Indians or Redskins, etc. I thought it meant the school admired the toughness and the grit of the group that they named their team after.

Well excuse me for being stupid!
