Obama's Lackeys Deny Immigration Policy Is His Policy

I have noted this in some of my earlier posts, but the audacity of it all bears mentioning again. Referencing something I heard Rush Limbaugh say, President Obama continues to advance his liberal agenda, while denying he has anything to do with the policies in question. Rush Limbaugh has repeatedly pointed out how President Obama sets things in motion that will advance his agenda and then claims it is Washington's fault that things are working out.

The first case in point that comes to mind is the way the White House has handled the train wreck known as ObamaCare. Go back and look at how many times Jay Carney has referred reporters to Health and Human Services, instead of allowing the President to take responsibility for the policies he has enacted. Does anyone really think HHS and its fearless leader has done anything Obama hasn't approved of? Not this fellow, to be sure.

The most recent example comes in the form of President Obama's immigration policy. We all know how he changed the deportation rules in 2012. The policies he set forth and their resulting actions have allowed over 500,000 illegal immigrants who were brought to America when they were children to remain in the country, with no fear of deportation. Again, these changes in the rules were instigated by the Obama administration. The last time I checked, the man who lives in the White House is Barack Obama. That means he is responsible for these policy changes. But according to his lackeys, that's not so much the case.

The rest of this story comes from a piece I found that highlights just how bold the Obama administration is getting.

The Daily Caller - President Obama will extend his mini-amnesty for young illegals, said Cecilia Muñoz, White House director of domestic policy.

“As long as this president is president… you’re going to be able to renew your deferred action,” Muñoz told one illegal immigrant 23 minutes into an online question-and-answer session on immigration conducted via Skype.

So far, Obama’s deputies have granted the two-year “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals” amnesty to at least 567,563 illegals aged between 15 and 31, giving them the right to get jobs in every state, get drivers’ licenses in some states, to enroll in school and to receive government aid. Only 21,162 illegals have been rejected. Roughly 11 million illegals are living in the United States.

Obama’s two-year amnesty will start timing out in 2014, shortly before the midterm elections.

Okay, we know that President Obama has no intention of changing his policy of no deportations for these "childhood arrivals". He, in fact, intends to extend the two-year deportation deferral, no matter what Congress does with immigration reform. That's bad enough, but there is more to this story. Here is a little more background, along with the real kicker. I have added emphasis to point out what I want you to see.

Obama announced the new rules in June 2012 during a campaign-style speech in the Rose Garden. In the months after, his support among Latinos rose sharply, and he eventually received 71 percent of the Latino vote, which comprised roughly 8.4 percent of the electorate.

Muñoz, however, downplayed Obama’s role in the amnesty.

“The president doesn’t have the authority to suspend deportations. … That was a action by the Department of Homeland Security, and it was a use of its enforcement authority,” she claimed.

Vice President Joe Biden was part of the video conference, and he also played down Obama’s role: “It is not the president saying, ‘I’m changing the law, you can stay.’”

“He doesn’t have the authority to say that,” Biden said.

Seriously! Do President Obama's lackeys (yes, I include Joe Biden in that description) really expect us to buy the lies they are trying to shovel down our throats? The President himself was the one to announce the changes in the deportation rules. It was on his command that the Department of Homeland Security allowed the "childhood arrivals" to stay in the country, get driver's licenses, and take jobs away from Americans who need the work. Obama specifically said in his statement announcing the changes that it was a temporary change. We now hear the President's own people telling illegal immigrants they have nothing to worry about. That their deportation deferral will be renewed. And all the while, they are telling Americans that Obama had nothing to do with the changes.

The lies coming out of the Obama administration continue to grow, day by day. His liberal supporters should not be surprised when more and more Americans realize just how much of a lie this entire administration has been.

I am just waiting for the day when Obama announces we really do not need a border fence. All should be allowed to come and go as they wish.Should anything happen as a result of illegal aliens, it shall be met with these are only a few bad apples out of 20 million illegal aliens. Where does Obama & friends intend to find employment for about 20 million illeals,with another 20 million family members along side of about 25 million jobless Americans ? immigration reform looks great on paper but millions of others to our south will continue coming on down.It’s not like Obama will be serious about enforcement.
