Official White House photographer Pete Souza shot back at critics this weekend, insisting he is not hogging coverage of President Obama.

Souza's unfettered access to Obama has made him an object of scorn among the White House press corps, who are angry that photojournalists are systematically blocked from covering the President at events.
The head of photography for The Associated Press has likened Souza's "visual news releases" to propaganda.
Santiago Lyon accused Obama of trying to "bypass the media by releasing a sanitized visual record of his activities through official photographs and videos at the expense of independent journalistic access," in a New York Times editorial last week.

I keep telling you people....
The regime realizes “old media” is in bad financial straits.
They are just giving the media a cost cutting method by providing “official” photos and videos.
Dump those expensive camera jockeys, technicians, etc.
Every photographer wants a good shot of his subject. Souza should not be blamed for that.
Souza’s work isn’t propaganda in and of itself. The way his work is used, however, is. That’s the unfortunate part and in this case it’s true.
Souza’s trademark “Obama With A Halo” photos aren’t propaganda?
A good example is the picture last week of Obama and Bush 43 on Air Force 1 on the way to South Africa. This was a double propaganda gain. It showed Obama wish a typical SE grin, while depicting Bush looking quite odd. Propaganda, indeed.

However, he also doesn't want all those pesky reporters around when he wants to slouch around in gym clothes or take naps during the day.
Having only one photographer suits him just fine.

Lol. Good point. I just meant I didn’t care about whether the commie schmuck artist, Shepard Fairey, copied off some other lefty schmuck artist. What was important was who and what the bastard was and what he was doing, what he did previously.
