First, gun v. nothing I'm giving up my phone. It's just a phone that I can brick as soon as I find the internet. If you have to fight, you control the gun but be violent about it. A guy wrestled to the ground and controlled who won't release the gun needs to leave that bus on a stretcher.
The guy who grabbed the gun did a pretty good job of it.
No criminal history SINCE TURNING 18! I’ll bet if you were to look at his juvenile record, you would find all kinds of crap.
Yeah he is damn lucky he didn’t get shot because he put himself right in front of the gun, maybe it wasn’t loaded or real or the guy didn’t have it in him to pull it, whatever reason, but that is definitely the wrong way to go about it. There was an exact case like that 2 years ago here in New York city where a gunman barged into a gas station cashiers booth and pointed the gun at the cashiers face and exactly like this guy the cashier instinctively pushed the gun away then tried to grab it and wrestle the guy and BOOM the cashier was shot and died at the scene. Same kind of video, they show the gunman pointing it right at him. It’s the wrong way to react but again it’s an instinctive reaction.

I was wondering,if it was loaded or a real gun too.
I would comply while looking for an opening - and then slit the thug’s throat with my very sharp (and completely legal) tactical folding knife. That is, if i wasn’t carrying my 9mm at the time.
PS This not just Internet bravado. Been mugged twice. Or rather, been the victim of attempted muggings twice. They both has to be somewhere else real fast when I pulled out my blade instead of my cash.

A good sharp blade would have help out. I can think of many things one could carry if you live in one of those no weapons allowed areas.
