It must be nice to have a state budget robust enough to offer up that kind of largesse....

During Mr. Christie’s re-election campaign this year, he spoke favorably of tuition equality

Does this mean no more higher tuition for out of state students??

There's a story behind this that doesn't get much attention at all:

If it weren't for immigration (legal and illegal), New Jersey would be facing a long-term population decline driven by an ongoing out-migration of its professional class. Moves like this by the state government are simply an attempt to encourage people who grow up in New Jersey to actually stay there for at least another four years.

And hey ... this is New Jersey we're talking about. Legality never factors much into anything there.

Some people can violate “the law of the land” and be rewarded for it. The only requirement is that you aren’t a U.S. citizen. If you are, you get to pick up the tab.

The Federal Government mandates that we educate illegals through 12th grade. This is merely an extension and several states already do it. Would you rather have them uneducated?

I would have predicted that The Blimp would have done something like this. How dare he bill himself as a conservative when it’s so obvious that he’s a flaming RINO. He can kick around teachers, but then kowtow to criminals AKA illegal aliens. Go jump off a bridge, Fatso. The resulting splash would clean up a lot of NJ.

When I was stationed in New Mexico my wife had to pay out-of-state tuition at UNM, because we retained voting residence in Ohio. I really resent people who are not even here legally being allowed in-state tuition. They should be deported, not granted a discount.

One of my daughters finished up a graduate MA out in Oregon some years ago, and I was extremely tempted to say that she was an illegal alien in the application, so I could get in-state tuition rates.

It's official.

Chris Christie will be the Republican nominee for president in 2016.

FR will go through another:

Not that RINO!
No, please not that RINO.
Better our RINO then their socialist

binge and purge cycles

Yeech.

These people are anti-American.

I'm not being rhetorical, consider:

Why do these politicians hate Americans?

It would be offensive for a kid from New Mexico to pay higher tuition than a kid who claims to be an illegal alien from Mexico.

Well, if NJ has it and Texas has it...can they both be wrong? And if you think so, you probably need to talk to someone other than those living in NJ or Texas...along with other states who provide same.
