Glenn Beck: Chris Christie a ‘fat nightmare’

Glenn Beck is slamming New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie for his record — and his weight — calling the governor a “fat nightmare.”

“Chris Christie is a fat nightmare. He is a nightmare,” Beck said in an interview with CNN’s S.E. Cupp that is set to air on Friday’s “Piers Morgan Live.”

Cupp, who is guest hosting Morgan’s program, noted Christie will likely run for president in 2016 and is polling as the strongest Republican potential candidate against Hillary Clinton.

“Don’t care. Don’t care. Don’t care. Don’t care,” Beck responded.

Cupp called Christie “the real world,” but Beck continued his attack, hitting Christie for his stance on gun control, global warming and unions — saying the New Jersey governor is a progressive, not a conservative.

“I’m done playing the game of, ‘Well, that means if we don’t vote for that guy, we‘re gonna get this guy.’ We played that with [Sen.] John McCain. We played that with Mitt Romney,” Beck said.

When asked who he’d like to see on the ticket in 2016, Beck said he “I don’t know because I don’t trust any of them.”

“I’m not going to sell my principles out anymore,” Beck said.

Well, I will not criticize CC for his weight, nor for his accomplishments. Many who are willing to sell out what is decent and good have succeeded wildly in history and many still do today. Their success is no reason to make them the president.
I look at a candidate’s history and philosophy when choosing one. Having done that I find CC wanting. He is badly lacking in many aspects as a candidate. Based on that I would never vote for him.
I bit my tongue and held my nose for both McCain and Romney. I regret those votes for them and cannot get them back. I will not compromise again on a candidate.
If a candidate appears who is wholly in keeping with the Constitution as originally intended then he or she shall have my vote. No others.
If this means that the Progressive National Socialists control everything then so be it. They are playing a zero sum game and so am I. It’s a damned shame that folks like CC are not smart enough to understand that.

Accomplishments? CC?

How about weakening the R party presidential candidate’s position days before the 2012 election. If the R party leadership wants CC as the 2016 presidential nominee, they are either the greatest fools in political history or have the memories of that fish E DeGeneris voiced in “Finding Nemo”.

I trust Ted completely. But after watching sell-out artists like Ryan, Ayotte, Johnson and Rubio, to name a few, he’s taking a wait and see approach. Bob

"Looks like the trolls from Dummie Underground are in full cry in this post"

Yah, Glenn has his own personal set of trolls here on FR. They show up whenever anything is posted about him.

The only posts missing here so far:

Beck is crazy.

Beck is a a drunk/drinking again.

Beck is off his meds.

I would have answered the question differently than what Beck answered.

I would have said that I like what Cruz has done in 2013 and that if the election were held today, Cruz would be the type of person that I could support.

But Beck didn't answer it that way. Instead he lumped Cruz in with all the others.

Sorry, that doesn't cut it in my book.

And I'll take a "wait and see" approach to see if Beck, with his CNN paycheck, is a sell-out.

Glen would not be able to get a job as an underwear model for Calvin Klein’s men’s briefs.

Interesting observation.

Glenn Beck may not be Freeper material but his comment about N.J. Governor Chris Christie's weight is not exactly the huge political faux pas some are making it out to be. Should - God forbid - Christie be the 2016 GOP presidential candidate his obesity will be spotlighted and mentioned many, many times by the left. Get used to that reality.

However, I agree with Beck (and every conservative I know) that nominating Christie would be a gigantic mistake and that he would lose more votes than he could possibly gain should he become the Republican presidential nominee in '16.

Of course, if the fix is in, we're already doomed. Christie will lose to Hillary or some other communist and America will never be the same. We'll be living under a socialist government that, as they always do, quickly becomes totalitarian and oppressive as it slowly fails.

He's fed up, as are most of us, and basically stating on a different network one of his core beliefs...he trusts no politician because even our guys stab us in the back constantly. I know he likes Cruz...I also know Beck is smart enough not to give the left another way to target Cruz for 3 years. He may also assume Cruz isn't running, so

If the GOPe nominates Christie, I will not vote

I left my vote for Governor blank in this past November's election in NJ.
