Glenn Beck: Chris Christie a ‘fat nightmare’

Glenn Beck is slamming New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie for his record — and his weight — calling the governor a “fat nightmare.”

“Chris Christie is a fat nightmare. He is a nightmare,” Beck said in an interview with CNN’s S.E. Cupp that is set to air on Friday’s “Piers Morgan Live.”

Cupp, who is guest hosting Morgan’s program, noted Christie will likely run for president in 2016 and is polling as the strongest Republican potential candidate against Hillary Clinton.

“Don’t care. Don’t care. Don’t care. Don’t care,” Beck responded.

Cupp called Christie “the real world,” but Beck continued his attack, hitting Christie for his stance on gun control, global warming and unions — saying the New Jersey governor is a progressive, not a conservative.

“I’m done playing the game of, ‘Well, that means if we don’t vote for that guy, we‘re gonna get this guy.’ We played that with [Sen.] John McCain. We played that with Mitt Romney,” Beck said.

When asked who he’d like to see on the ticket in 2016, Beck said he “I don’t know because I don’t trust any of them.”

“I’m not going to sell my principles out anymore,” Beck said.

I agree with much of what you said. I also voted for McCain. I could not bring myself to vote for Romney. Now, with what I know about Palin, I cringe thinking of my vote for McCain. Whether I could vote for Christie will depend on his platform and also...what other choices we have in the primary. I am not hopeful in the upcoming presidential election. None who are being suggested are people for whom I would vote...more troubling they are not candidates mainstream American will vote for either. Meaning we will lose another election. I hate to be so negative. It is just reality. Good luck to us all.

I do not agree with any of that and I am glad he has the lap band. It was very successful for a friend of ours. I hope it will be successful for him. I would not say he is a democrat. There is alot I like about him. Some things, not so much. But I have never had a candidate I like 100%. They were all human of course.

I think Christie’s weight is fair game. The man isn’t overweight; he’s morbidly obese. Putting aside the fact that he’s a Democrat, who wants a president who may keel over at anytime?

At least Beck has come around. He used to play Barry White songs while he gushed over Christie.

He's fed up, as are most of us, and basically stating on a different network one of his core beliefs...he trusts no politician because even our guys stab us in the back constantly.

I'm fed up, as are most of us, with so-called conservative(and libertarian?) commentators not telling it like it is. Cruz over the past year has positively differentiated himself from the other potential candidates.

I would have said that while I don't trust any politician, Ted Cruz at least so far, has differentiated himself positively.

ABTW, I don't trust any CNN commentator either.

A political platform is a list of lies. Judge them by their actions.

Thank you. Politico rolls Glenn and we help.

Yup. Take one remark out of context and run with it. Glenn gets fed up with progressives just like we do. And sometimes we ridicule the Sasquatch's fat ass. It happens.

Glenn can pick apart any RINO or Democrat. And he has, countless times. He's entitled to blow off a little steam, once in a while.

Someone from GOPe told the dimwits they aren’t supposed to like Beck...so they don’t. They don’t know why but that’s what they were told to do.

What do you “Now Know about Palin” that cause you to cringe thinking of your vote for McCain? What is it about Sarah that you do not care for?

It is not going to matter to you. I know this. It will probably irritate you and I certainly do not want to do that. I am sure you know every bit as much about Gov Palin as I do. What you see as a positive, I probably see as a negative. We do not need to agree. You have every right to your opinion, as I do mine.

I agree with you. Beck is not perfect. If I were in his position, I would hope that I would have said that I don’t trust MANY of them. But Ted must, and I hope will, lead his own charge all in due time. Beck’s comments to the hottie atheist will not hurt Cruz at all, fortunately. Bob

As Colonel_Flagg observed at #4: No. No. No. NO. No matter what Glenn Beck may weigh (and it’s a LOT less than Krispy Kreme weighs.

Martin O’Malley and Deval (Coupe Deval) Patrick and Dannel Malloy and Anthony Cuomo and Patrick Quinn and Jerry Brown and Krispy Kreme and a lot more trash like them are governors of states and you and I are not. None of them gets my vote any more than did Mitt Romney or Paul Ryan.
