Glenn Beck: Chris Christie a ‘fat nightmare’

Glenn Beck is slamming New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie for his record — and his weight — calling the governor a “fat nightmare.”

“Chris Christie is a fat nightmare. He is a nightmare,” Beck said in an interview with CNN’s S.E. Cupp that is set to air on Friday’s “Piers Morgan Live.”

Cupp, who is guest hosting Morgan’s program, noted Christie will likely run for president in 2016 and is polling as the strongest Republican potential candidate against Hillary Clinton.

“Don’t care. Don’t care. Don’t care. Don’t care,” Beck responded.

Cupp called Christie “the real world,” but Beck continued his attack, hitting Christie for his stance on gun control, global warming and unions — saying the New Jersey governor is a progressive, not a conservative.

“I’m done playing the game of, ‘Well, that means if we don’t vote for that guy, we‘re gonna get this guy.’ We played that with [Sen.] John McCain. We played that with Mitt Romney,” Beck said.

When asked who he’d like to see on the ticket in 2016, Beck said he “I don’t know because I don’t trust any of them.”

“I’m not going to sell my principles out anymore,” Beck said.

I would not..and did not..vote for any of them. I will be hard pressed to vote in the next presidential election if the names being thrown out now do not change. I know we can do better than this. Surely we can. You think? Maybe not? Our list right now is not electable. We have to choose more wisely next time than we did last time. I am convinced the GOP knew we could not win last time so they put Romney out there because he was dispensable.

Chris Christie does not have a snowball’s chance in Hell of winning the Southern primaries. I am from the South and he is the empitome of what we call a “damn yankee” down here. I wouldn’t vote for that guy for any reason. I also don’t think he has a chance to win the nomination.

Glenn Beck is too chunky to be harping on Christie’s weight. However Christie is so disgustingly overweight that his weight is indeed fair game. It is like ignoring the elephant in the room. No public official should let themselves grow to Jabba the Hut proportions. But if they do they get what they deserve.

Having said that it is better for skinny people to make the snide comments not prissy Pillsbury doughboys like Beck.

Thank you so much for the ping.

Three years out is too soon for the base to trust anyone, just because it is always the base to which they first must direct their charms, in order to solidify our base in financial and political support.

My concern is the Tea Party types will balcanize as usual, split between candidates and leave our resources altogether splintered between candidates.

The key would be a more organized endorsement of one, early enough to contend against the RINO plot to divide and conquer the same as last time.

Cruz looks awfully good to me now, but will conservatives let him appeal to anyone else outside of the base?

I rather doubt Hillary will run. Cruz is articulate and quick enough to contend with anyone, but it’s early isn’t it?

I was thinking them same as you. Beck matches up with conservatives far more than Fat ole Christie. Christie is a muslim appeasing leftie who talks tuff to some teachers. Otherwise he has no real accomplishments. nCalling him a RINO is nice.

“And does he want to compare what he has accomplished in his life compared to what Gov. Christie has accomplished?”

You’re joking right? If giving in-state tuition to illegal aliens is an “accomplishment” I will take GB any day of the week.

Of course, if the fix is in, we're already doomed. Christie will lose to Hillary or some other communist and America will never be the same. We'll be living under a socialist government that, as they always do, quickly becomes totalitarian and oppressive as it slowly fails.

What you said!

Superficially, you seem to be asking yourself who you would support for POTUS in 2016 and promising not to be rude in response to your answer.

I am going to go out on a limb here and suppose that there was an error and that it was as to whom you directed the question. I am going to answer as if you posed the question to me.

I would like to see the GOP nominate any of: Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, Scott Walker, or Mike Pence, off the top of my head.

Pence might most easily avoid major controversy but would nevertheless make a fine candidate. He has a solid though understated style and track record.

Sarah Palin would make leftist heads explode and would do an excellent job of ripping the skin off them and their media spokesthings square inch by square inch and would be best able to exploit the Hildebeast's weaknesses if the HB is the Demonrat candidate. To say nothing of her ability to replace (and wonderfully offend) airhead GOP-E polo players, tycoons and Junior Leaguers with a new generation of what we used to call Reagan Democrats. Phil Robertson would actively campaign for her. She would offer genuine capitalism and not the crony capitalism of the Mitt Romneycans, actual social conservatism, military conservatism, and a 2nd Amendment Rights practitioner as well as believer.

Ted Cruz may be the more sober choice. Certainly no Demoleftist in drag like so many GOP-E types. First rate education, solid leadership qualities, take no prisoners track record. He is to principled leadership what George S. Patton, Jr., was to aggressive tank warfare.

Scott Walker is well known and thoroughly despised by the radical left for his stunning accomplishments as Wisconsin governor and previously as Milwaukee (!!!) County Executive. He is a social conservative and son of a Baptist minister. Public employee unions and denizens of the People's Republic of Madison can attest that Scott Walker is stainless steel in his determination to govern in the very finest traditions of conservatism. He not only got elected in Wisconsin (an ubertough state) but beat back a recall effort, kept GOP control of the legislature (a miracle of its own), defeated an attempt to elect a virtual communist (Democrap as usual) to swing the state Supreme Court to a leftist majority to thwart his right-to-work measures for public employees. Public employee union members are de-certifying their unions across Wisconsin.

Who would you like to see and why?
