GRANDVILLE, MI -- Republican National Committeeman Dave Agema supports the “Duck Dynasty” family whose hit television show may be over now that one of the stars has been suspended for comments the A&E cable network deemed offensive to gays.
In a Friday, Dec. 20, Facebook post visible to his social media friends, which include an MLive Media Group employee, Agema lauded this statement released by Phil Robertson’s family.
“Good for them,” Agema wrote. “The LGBT Gestapo speech police will not succeed when families like them are Biblically solid. You are in our prayers. May A&E fall into the pit they dug for you. STAND!”

The RNC should stay out of it. They will only ruin everything.
It seems likely that the A&E channel has decided to put pro-homosexual ideology above profits, wrecking one of their most popular shows. That's their call; private businesses can do what they want.
But it's time for us to make clear that choices have consequences, and for conservatives to stand by those who make right choices and against those who have deliberately made wrong choices.
GLAAD was quite clear in threatening A&E if they didn't act. Again, that's their right in America under the First Amendment.
But Free Republic also has a history of effectively showing conservative muscle against the entertainment industry. Anybody remember what happened to the Dixie Chicks? ;-)

Also the RNC decided this month not to rebuke Agema for previous “anti-gay” remarks. Good for them.
The point is that homosexuals are mad at the comments he made on his Facebook page because he is a Republican National Committeeman. They aren't willing to let anyone have free speech rights except themselves, apparently.
While this isn't an RNC issue (yet), it's good to know there are RNC members taking the right side, and give them appropriate levels of support.
The RNC will likely be silent, this was just one member on his own. Will he be kicked out now?
I guarantee you, there's going to be some flunky GOP spokesperson who's going to apologize and make some stupid comment that homos are welcome in the Big Tent GOP, and the liberals are going to jump all over it and use it to try and divide conservatives.
Typical Republicans, riding someone else's coattails for a job they should be doing all along.
Its been almost a year since the first time he drew fire for speaking out on the gay issue.
The GOPe has been apologizing and attacking Agema almost since the day he took the RNC seat.
Has the dear president put his useless 2 cents worth in on this subject, yet? I hope he realizes that he needs to keep his nose out of this one, he has divided this nation enough already.
I just wish conservatives would realize the importance of taking control of the RNC. Its where party policy is made and we tend to ignore it.
