It has now been revealed that Phil Robertson will be returning to Duck Dynasty on January 15. A&E said they have no plans to fire the star.
It appears as though the war on Phil Robertson and his freedoms of free speech and religions aren’t quite so savage. Although A&E declared they were suspending the star “indefinitely, ” it was apparently only a façade for the gay community as sources say they still intend to air episodes featuring Robertson .
The Duck Dynasty star came under fire after expressing his beliefs about homosexuality and how it conflicts his religion. In an interview with GQ magazine, he started off by saying, “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers – they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”
He went even further into explanation when he said, “It seems like, to me, a vagina – as a man – would be more desirable than a man’s anus.” Afterwards, he even went so far as to compare homosexuality to bestiality and terrorism, a point which made a select portion of the public outraged.
The point Robertson was trying to make here is that you can’t draw a line where “acceptable” sin is. Sin is sin, and the only line you can draw is where it is, not which sin is OK to commit.
Being outraged by the comments members of the gay community went on a double standard rampage—because of course, straight people who don’t agree with homosexuality are labeled “homophobes” while they’re allowed to feel “offended.”
Wilson Cruz, a spokesman for GLAAD,—a gay rights group—made a cry to the public saying, “Phil and his family claim to be Christian, but Phil’s lies about an entire community fly in the face of what true Christians believe.” He went on to say, “He clearly knows nothing about gay people or the majority of Louisianans – and Americans – who support legal recognition for loving and committed gay and lesbian couples.”
The funny thing about his statement is that Louisiana is one of the majority 33 states that have an all out ban on same sex marriage. If there was a majority in support of the lifestyle then wouldn’t that show as either a majority in the states that allow it, or at least in the “majority” led Louisiana?
Either way, A&E quickly moved to make a public statement where they said, “The network has placed Phil under hiatus from filming indefinitely,” and that, “His personal views in no way reflect those of A&E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community.”
Well it turns out that this may just be a ploy to let heat cool down as they play out the rest of Robertson’s episodes. Apparently they are going to play the next season with episodes featuring Robertson as they have already filmed and edited them.
But what about his suspension—is A&E going to stand by their statement?
A source close to the situation stated that, “There’s no negotiation to have; we’re doing the show. We’ll figure out a solution. It’s just not going to happen overnight. Everybody will take a break for the holidays and regroup afterward. That’s probably the smartest thing for everyone to do. Time heals a lot of wounds.”
Apparently they’re not done milking this money cow yet as once again, money has proven dominance over morals.
There really shouldn’t have been any issue in the first place as it was Robertson’s right to express how he felt under his freedoms of speech and religion. But, hopefully A&E will be exposed for the greedy hypocrites they really are.

2014 will be their last on a&e... you can bank on it. a&e will regret this move all the way until they are purchased by another network or become revamped like the Discovery Suite was.

There are two sins stated in the Bible that are AN ABOMINATION UNTO GOD... homosexuality is one of them. Do you know what sin will never be forgiven? Sin is sin but there are sins that GOD despises above all others... the end result will be the same but one sin in particular is one that can never be overcome. Therefore not all sin is equal.

This season was already in the can, anyway.
How could they have edited Phil out of every episode?

For contractual reasons making a quick move to another network without A&E’s blessing is impossible. Here’s another strategy:
The incident educated the consumer as to the difference between Duck Dynasty and Duck Commander merchandise. Hopefully Willie is a smart enough CEO to start churning out merchandise for Wal-Mart and other stores under the Duck Commander brand. Essentially he has the opportunity to displace the A&E Duck Dynasty brand with a brand he controls and receives 100% of the royalties. A&E will loose the revenue of the licensed products and millions of dollars. The Robertson family can profit while A&E takes it in the chin.

Most TV etc contracts would require them wait a year or two before they could have a show on another network.
But if A+E drops the show they would be free to go anywhere right now.

The numbers are compelling with respect to the evangelicals and non voters in general. In the 2012 presidential election, 126 million people cast ballots and 93 million people eligible to vote did not go to the polls. Most elections in today’s divided country are won or lost with a margin of less than 5%. Mobilizing another 2-3%, to vote for real conservative candidates, could change the political landscape dramatically.
The truth is the Democrats, and their allied interest groups, are terrific in getting their entitlement dependent base out to vote as a bloc as well as getting their base to register to vote. Republicans and Conservatives seem to depend on people doing their public duty. Look at the collapse of the Romney IT system and ground game on election day in 2012 versus the power of the Obama database supported with hundreds of thousands of community organizers.
Winning requires a good ground game and a candidate voters are enthusiastic about voting “FOR”. Many evangelicals and conservatives no longer participate in the system because they are tired of voting against the worst of two bad candidates instead of having the opportunity to vote for someone who will support their agenda.

Raise hullaballoo around Phil(Phil not part of it) by staging a hit interview.
Sales skyrocket because the consumer does not know that DD gear money goes to A&E (only Duck Commander goes to Phil) and buys to support Phil and family.
Phil is forgiven and goes back to work......
The AmeriKan screamers in 10 minutes forget all about it and go back to sleep in their cave while their country falls apart with more important issues at stake.
I believe the next step is to use this as an opportunity for A&E to sit down with Christians and learn about their lives and the values they share.
Smoke screen. The new episodes starting Jan. 15th are already filmed and in the can. They’re simply not editing Phil out of those shots. They banned Phil from FUTURE filming, and for now, that still remains in place, because they can’t figure out how to extricate themselves from the mess they’ve gotten themselves in.

Basically it is still status quo as far as I can tell. He was suspended from future
filming and that still stands. The family apparently has said that won’t stand. So
there will have to be some agreement at some point forward if there is to be filming
for the fall run. jmo.

Phil is NOT returning and has NOT returned. Next year's episodes are already filmed and in the can awaiting viewing by the public in 2014. This sleight of hand by the media is purposeful.... it's what they do.

Domino's Pizza was removed from the Left's hit list when the firm was sold by owner Tom Monaghan and went public under the new ownership.
