Slavery was an evil necessity back during biblical times.

Agreed. But then Terry seems like someone who would be a lot of fun to hang out with.

It's OK to enslave liberals as long as you keep them in your basement.;-)

If you don't mind cleaning up after them. They make a bigger mess than dogs.

Ephesians 6:5-Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.

Not exactly a righteous stand against the sin of slavery. But Paul's frame of reference should be taken into account. He was of the faith expectation, as have every generation of believers, that Christ would return and the rapture would ensue, post haste, in his lifetime. Paul, thus, did not see himself as a social critic, but rather, as an evangelist preparing both slaves and masters for the imminant return of Christ. . now back to Terry and Phil. . sorry!

Phil took Terry Bradshaw fishing. He put a tote sack over Bradshaw's head and made him lay down in the bottom of the boat so Bradshaw could not find the way back to the fishing spot.

I cook duck on the grill rotisserie. Prick the skin all over until you are tired, then keep on pricking the skin. Keep a roasting pan under the rotisserie to catch the fat drippings. It makes wicked good gravy.

Just in case anybody wants to see some LA Tech football with Phil Robertson as quarterback, here you go:

1966 Highlights of Alabama vs. Louisiana Tech

Special bonus -- the Alabama QB is the 1970s left-handed NFL star Ken Stabler.

Fawn, the entire book of Exodus can be read as casting a skeptical eye on the institution of slavery. There are passages in the Levitical code that may seem to make accommodations to slavery, but the thrust of Exodus is that slavery is something we should be delivered from. Those who say that the Bible condones slavery in toto either haven't read it or haven't understood it.

That slave owners may have appealed to the Bible in order to support the institution means nothing. Abolitionists appealed to the same Bible, so the case is at least ambiguous.
