Thank you GLAAD... Ironically the timing of your latest example of Intolerance with Christians by Cherry Picking and selectively reporting facts out of context, has in a backhanded way managed to bring Christ back to Christmas. Maybe not ideally how I would have liked to seen it done, but that was the end result. This shines an important light on a couple of facts besides Phil's actual remarks, Which by the way I completely agree with him about the bible being the word of God and is our “instruction manual” if you will on how to inherit the kingdom of God and fully support his right to voice his religious belief without risk of being fired as a right provided him under the civil rights act.
First of all, the cherry picking of facts & selective out of context reporting, it has become very effective, because the speed of news moving now, nobody wants to be left behind and seems like the media is now simply reporting on what other media (among other reliable and unreliable sources) are saying instead of taking the extra time to go to the source and find all the facts themselves. I read an article by somebody that claimed to be present for the interview, who says the comment about Phil living his life without judging people and just loving them, was made as a preface to answering the question posed to him about what America's biggest problem was today, in which he answered Sin and then was asked to elaborate on that... and did. Then for him answering that question by expressing his belief in the word of God, and paraphasing (possibly quoting another version I am unfamiliar with) some bible verses, he is called a bigot.
This “cherry picking” practice has became very effective and why most politicians use the same technique to get elected... Difference is, they know they are cherry picking to decieve... and I hope with the media it is because they are just being lazy and not actually trying to decieve, but in some cases, I fear it is the latter. Too many Americans have gotten just as lazy as the Media, because they wont dig deeper to find out the whole story on something they happen to hear and instead, react to that set of cherry picked facts and one persons twisted interpretation or flat out mis-quoting of the words. It appears, the leader of GLAAD fires off a bunch of emails, or letters to A& E and a few select media outlets he knows wont do any further investigation, complaining about this religious redneck, racist, homophobe, and they report on his misquotes, instead of Phil's words in GQ's actual interview.
I am almost 50 years old now and it's amazing to me, in the relatively short span of my lifetime, how we have transitioned to a culture that any time two people that happen to be a different race disagree with each other, that the disagreement somehow makes one a bigot or a racist... and if one of the two are white, then the white one is racist for sure. Now, in more recent times the GLBT community has tried to piggy back in and called their fight to be accepted and normalized a civil rights issue too and again, if you disagree in any way with their chosen lifestyle, you are a bigot and or probably still a racist too if your white... but in addition to that, now you are automatically Homophobic too!
This whole situation has gotten way overboard and out of control, especially bad over past 6 years or so, since President Obama started running for office and immediately if you were white and disagreed with anything he said it is somehow a racial thing and you are racist for disagreeing... I just cant comprehend, that thought process... its an automatic double standard nowdays for a white, Christian and/or Conservative to be called a racist, bigot or homophobe for simply having & expressing an opinion or believing what we believe and let that belief be known, without actually treating a person of a different race or sexual preference any differently than anybody else... Anyway, I just wanted to give you at GLAAD and even the network that I have quit watching for a week now a big Thanks for seemingly piling the last straw on the camels back and mobilizing us. By doing so, you have taken the yearly war on Christmas off the headlines this year and motivated Christians to take a moral stand in supporting something we believe in. Can somebody tell me why if I am white and Christian, I have to be accepting and tolerant of virtually everything, including numerous deviant behaviors that offend me personally, but for some reason, all those with different lifestyles or viewpoints are not even tolerant enough to hear any differing opinion mentioned without crying foul. I keep trying to find the part in the Constitution that says we have the right to not be offended by somebody elses words or beliefs... but it appears to have been omitted. I would also like to say Thank you to the sponsor's that have stood behind Phil on this, but I would ask you to take it one step further and ask A&E to make the same public apology that Cracker Barrel did and reinstate Phil and put an end to this madness. You paid for advertising on their show (among others possible) based on a certain viewership and their actions have reduced that by a reported 70% from initial numbers I saw reported on the recent “Marathon” It is A&E's actions hurting your bottom line now and it deserves to end with them apologizing for over-reacting and bending to this militant minority. I am sure there are a good portion of the 12 million viewers you had for season opener or nearly 9 million from the Christmas special that are like me and have deleted the A & E channel from my tv... For the past week, I have found alternate programming from what I would have normally been watching... the re-runs of Duck Dynasty marathon among other shows on A&E...
I am hoping Phil and Family give Glen Beck a call take the show over to The Blaze TV
Beck is having a little trouble getting his station carried by major carriers because of exactly these types of reasons and this would help bopth of them
I am enjoying the heck out of watching Beck build a media empire from scratch.

I have heard more people, in stores, offices, everywhere, telling other Merry Christmas than at any time in at least 20 years. The. Backlash. Is. On.
For decades, the worst thing you could be, was a white, Christian, straight, male who did not hate your own people. Everybody else could love and admire their own kind, but not us.
Perhaps we should change this, be who we are, and not care if the Left is offended by us?

It is amazing how the Left has changed the common definition of bigotry. It used to mean intolerance of ideas or opinions, especially religious. Now they made it a catch-all for intolerance of anything.
Bigotry is what is being done to Phil, not what is coming from Phil.
All their hate will consume them. They don’t seem to know how to turn off their hate.

Actually, bigotry is now applied to anything short of adulation and frank envy.
The only acceptable (to them) reaction to “I’m gay!” is an enthusiastic “good for you! I wish I was!”
Anything less is Homophobia.
Just another example that radical, bigoted homosexuals and Christianity can not co exist. The homosexuals will win battle after battle but are doomed to lose the war and it will be a terrible judgement on them at that point. They know it, we know it, its just a matter of time. It may be years or centuries before it happens but it will happen.
There is going to be a “gay marriage” ceremony performed on one of the Rose Parade floats. Another wholesome activity “queered” up.
You know what’s REALLY interesting about this whole thing?
Obama hasn’t said anything about it.

They are having a homosexual same sex marriage on a Rose Bowl float.
