What was the most over-covered story of the year according to MSNBCs Chris Hayes? Thanks to Fox News obsession, the MSNBC host gave that honor to the knockout game trend that was apparently sweeping the nation.
Though at times it seemed that CNN was giving as much airtime to the knockout game, in which young hooligans were caught on camera approaching innocent strangers and punching them in the face, Fox News definitely let the charge. This has been on Fox all the time, Hayes said, before playing clips of Bill OReilly, Gretchen Carlson, Greta Van Susteren and Sean Hannity hyping it up.
You get a sense of the racial politics and subtext well, not even subtext text, Hayes said. Perhaps the best commentary of the knockout game coverage came from The Daily Shows Jon Stewart, who suggested we could get more Americans to care about gun control if we called people shooting each other the shooty game.
As for Hayes most under-covered story of the year? Climate change, which got zero coverage in 2013.

Yes yes, black on white violence is so terribly “Over-Covered” in this country.
So was Rock Hudson, Raymond Burr and 1,000 other homosexuals.
Apparently ONE such attack just happened in Houston, and is posted on FR, check keyword knockoutgame. The news dutifully reported that the attacker was...WHITE!!!!! and the victim...BLACK!!!!!/s;)
I guess his suspicion was correct. He set it up so he would get attention. A sort of social experiment.
LOL
