So, President Obama has a lot of stuff to do. We get it. Being President is hard. I heard it doesn't even pay overtime. But, as far as to-do lists go, isn't "Repeal Don't Ask, Don't Tell" basically "Unload the Dishwasher," while "Finish Two Wars" is "Clean the Garage Using Only Your Tongue" and "Fix the Economy" is like "Pick Up Dry-Cleaning from Inside a Volcano?"

I have to give John Stewart mad props...as a white pimp would say...for not hiding from this story as other liberals are and actually took ACORN to task, and even more for calling out the MSM on their non-reporting. I agree with this guy maybe 1% of the time, and this is that 1%: [VIDEO AT SITE] (Excerpt) Read more at floppingaces.net

Kudos to Jon Stewart, who doesn’t sugar-coat the embarrassment at all — to the apparent delight of his audience, who get kudos of their own. How can the national news media ignore the many allegations of corruption at ACORN, which gets millions of dollars in federal funding, and allow a couple of independents with $3,000 and a bad wardrobe scoop them on the undercover story of the year? It’s easy when newsrooms are more concerned with political direction than truth. Stick around to the end, when Stewart zings Michelle Malkin haters:
-
John Stewart had his best segment ever trashing the MSM over their how some kids scooped them to find out about corruption at ACORN. No video up yet. Here are some quotes: "I'm sure Acorn has 'a line'...please tell me 13 Salvadorian sex slaves is 'the line'" "The bad news, Acorn appears to be a corrupt organization that aides and abets criminals, and gets millions of dollars in taxpayer money, the good news is, it seems to be very well run" "Which intrepid journalist broke this story, 60 minutes, AP?" "Where were the real reporters on this story. You know...

Here is video of Bill O'Reilly tonight setting the record straight on cheap shot attacks on Fox News by The Daily Show's Jon Stewart. Stewart hammered Fox News last night for their Health Care Coverage. O'Reilly takes the clips of Fox News coverage Stewart played and shows how he took them out of context to fit the cheap shot he was after. . . . . . (Watch Video)

When you’re Barack Obama and you’ve lost Jon Stewart, you’ve got a problem. “Mr. President,” the “Daily Show” host said Monday night, “I can’t tell if you’re a Jedi — 10 steps ahead of everything — or if this whole health-care thing is kickin’ your [rear.]” White House officials, by acknowledging that a public option (or government plan) is not essential to achieving health care reform, may have improved their chances of ultimately getting a bill. In the meantime, though, they have touched off the most ferocious backlash among liberal talking heads since President Obama took office. The president and...

Late Night Comedy Makes Fun Of Obama
-
I have occasionally liked a clip, or something this guy has done, but aside from a few corkers, I laughed until I was nearly sick. Sometimes comedy is really capable of pointing out when people just aren't making sense. This episode features Stewart lampooning Obamacare, The Democrat leadership, the lame denials about rationing not happening, Racial politics, Hillary's fit in Africa that will make you choke with laughter, and an interview with one of Obama's economists who he asks, "Are we broke?" and proceeds to lay out the insanity of the path our country is taking.I just didn't expect it.

Back in April, when the debate over torture was roaring, Jon Stewart invited Cliff May, a national-security hawk and former spokesman for the Republican Party, to come on The Daily Show and defend waterboarding. May was hesitant. He thought Stewart would paint him as a crazy extremist. The audience would jeer. It would be a disaster. "I was apprehensive about going on, even though I've been on TV for a dozen years," says May. "A lot of my friends told me: 'Don't do it. You're meat going into the sausage factory.'" But May had a change of heart after soliciting...

President Obama received flack from all sides for his answer to a question at his healthcare press conference in which he said that the police officers involved in Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates' arrest “acted stupidly.” But who could have predicted that “Daily Show” host Jon Stewart would do a presidential put-down? “I wasn't at the press conference last night, and I also don't have all the facts, but I think it's fair to say that Obama handled that question — oh, what's the word I'm looking for — stupidly?” the Comedy Central star cracked. In light of Walter Cronkite's...

Jon Stewart’s Brilliant Audience Posted By Tim Slagle On July 24, 2009 @ 3:42 pm In Featured Story, Media Criticism, News, Political Humor Are Jon Stewart fans smarter than the rest of us? Is that the reason why many of us do not find him hilarious… that we’re too dumb to get the joke? His audience goes into stitches when he rolls his eyes and puts his hand over his mouth, and I’m left befuddled. Or am I too old? We all know that the people who watch “The Daily Show” are young, intelligent and informed. Or at least that’s...

Now that Walter Cronkite has passed on, who is America's most trusted newscaster? - (It's Jon Stewart)

It's a consistent line from the left: Conservative talk radio is a cauldron of hate. In the Clinton years, a CBS News promo set out to warn the public about the dangers of Gordon Liddy: "The words are shocking ... What he says may not be illegal, but is it dangerous? Has free speech gone too far? Hate radio under fire, and firing back." It is an unmistakable, unquestionable, resoundingly unequivocal exercise in liberal hypocrisy. The airwaves are now filled with the meanest, most insulting, most dishonest ad hominems in history. They are coming from left-wing talk show hosts. And...

Hey the daily show just did a skit implying that Obama is a pompous elitist and is not paying attention to real issues that actually matter. Apparently Obama reads Urdu poetry while Rome burns. The skit ends with Jon yelling, "Just Fix the Economy!!" Even the farout Libs and MSM are starting to get-it. Obama's ship is sinking fast

For months, a false campaign was launched to oust President Bush's second Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez, for the firing of US attorneys. Jon Stewart would launch "jokes" sharply jabbing the AG and the Bush Administration, while Keith Olbermann would should until his face was red about "Mr. Gonzalez."

Why do people think Jon Liebowitz a.k.a. Jon Stewart is funny? He’s not funny. He’s crude and tasteless. People keep telling me how funny he is and how I should watch the “Daily Show.” Why? So I can watch him say things like this? Jon Stewart: Fox Newsers Are ‘Extremists’ Who View the World Through ‘Sh*t-Colored Glasses’ Tim Graham | June 8, 2009 - 14:14 ET Alex Leo at The Huffington Post was delighted that Jon Stewart mocked Fox News “crazypants coverage” of President Obama’s opus in Cairo. Stewart said of the speech: ”How will it play with the extremists?”...

Usually when CNBC's Jim Cramer is making headlines, it's for his outrageous antics or over-the-top statements. Not this time. Time magazine's Justin Fox interviewed Cramer asking him questions submitted by readers which was posted on Time.com May 14. Two of those questions dealt with his March 12 appearance on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show." In his answers, Cramer accused Jon Stewart of personal attacks, being "vicious," and said that ultimately he had been had." Fox asked Cramer if this was just a case of him taking "Daily Show" host Jon Stewart's criticism of the entire CNBC network too personally. ...more...

What's so unfunny? That's what some comics - citing the scarcity of satire directed at President Obama and his administration - want to know. Claiming that his peers are "panicky" about "being called a racist," stand-up legend Jackie Mason said too many once-fearless satirists are settling for "hero worship" of the new U.S. president. The Great Presidential Comedy Drought of 2009 can't be chalked off to a lack of satirical fodder, said comic Jeffrey Jena, founder of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy blog. ("Looking at politics and life from the right side," proclaims its motto.) "Letterman used to do a...

Jon Stewart...I'd advise the mint flavored feet to put in your mouth. :) http://www.pjtv.com/video/Afterburner_/Jon_Stewart%2C_War_Criminals_%26_The_True_Story_of_the_Atomic

"Here's what I think of the atom bombs. I think if you dropped an atom bomb fifteen miles offshore and you said, "The next one's coming and hitting you," then I would think it's okay. To drop it on a city, and kill a hundred thousand people. Yeah. I think that's criminal."
-
It comes at about the 5:50 mark. Cliff May asks Stewart whether Truman's use of the atomic bomb was a war crime, Stewart ruminates and then responds with an unequivocal "yes." He's certainly not the only American who would take that view, but it's a useful reminder that the most vocal and popular criticism of the Bush administration's war on terror policies comes from people who, if they were being as honest as Stewart, would also judge Lincoln (suspension of habeas), FDR (internment), and Truman (use of nuclear weapons) as war criminals or tyrants or worse. Stewart repeats the charge...
-
Although historians have debated the issue for decades, Jon Stewart has no question about this controversial matter: former President Harry S. Truman is a war criminal for dropping the atomic bomb on Hiroshima in 1945.
-
Via Goldfarb, the key exchange comes at around 5:50. Hundreds of thousands of lives saved by averting a U.S. invasion of the Japanese home islands, and all this tool can do is point a finger and mumble “yes” in response to whether Truman’s a war criminal or not. Behold the face of mindless anti-torture absolutism. Like what you see?

Back in 2007, lefty comedian Jon Stewart mercilessly mocked lefty talk show host Chris Matthews over the title of his book when Matthews appeared to flog the tome on Stewart's The Daily Show. The ribbing was so unexpected and so mean spirited that Matthews later said it was a "book interview from hell." Now Matthews is releasing the book in paperback but amazingly there is a tiny difference between this version of the book and the original. The pulper was originally titled, "Life’s a Campaign: What Politics Has Taught Me About Friendship, Rivalry, Reputation, and Success." But now, all of...

Could the interview Chris Matthews called “the worst he’s ever had” have something to do with his decision to change the title of his most recent book before its paperback edition is released? In 2007, the “Hardball” host went on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” to promote his book, “Life’s a Campaign: What Politics Has Taught Me About Friendship, Rivalry, Reputation, and Success.” Stewart immediately went on the offensive, calling its thesis a Machiavellian “recipe for sadness” and disagreeing vehemently with what the book’s title implies. “If you treat life like a campaign ... at the end of your...

I’m the first one at the party to lapse into pirate humor — “agrhhh ... Master ’awkins ... shiver me timbers” and all that — but there’s humor and then there’s ignorance, and it’s easy for the fine line separating the two to get lost among mateys. I was watching Jon Stewart the other night, and he went off on this schtick on the Somali pirates; it was a little amusing at first, but then he got down to it. He reached under his desk for a little American flag, and then began a whole riff on how cool it...

Monday, April 13, 2009 BREITBART: Jon Stewart and Kumar go to D.C. Andrew Breitbart On Tuesday night I was bestowed the honor of being ridiculed on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" with Jon Stewart. The segment in which I was featured had Mr. Stewart mocking those of us who dare criticize the new president. In the era of Obama, mainstream American political humor is now officially on the defensive. Stewart lumped me with Sean Hannity, Mark Levin and Rep. Michele Bachmann, Minnesota Republican — a cross section of people you might expect to be critical of an administration implementing...

This was no April Fool’s joke. In the first two minutes of The Daily Show on Wednesday night, Comedy Central host Jon Stewart made angry faces and told Rush Limbaugh to "Get the f— out of here." He was channeling his inner Olbermann. After playing audio of Limbaugh saying he was leaving due to "absurd" New York tax hikes, Stewart angrily yelled "Finally!" to the screams of his whipped-up but always obedient liberal studio audience. He exclaimed: "For years, for years, for years, New Yorkers have done everything in our power to get this guy to leave town!" These included:...

For years New Yorkers have done everything in their power to get Rush Limbaugh to leave town.

...A serious man needs a serious mission, however, and this is suddenly a problem. With Bush gone and the Republican Party in chaos, most of Stewart’s targets have disappeared. Yet rather than pivot with the times and challenge those now in power, Stewart continues to attack the same old enemies, at this point mostly straw men and pipsqueaks. A couple of weeks ago, he spent an entire seven minutes mocking the crowd at a CPAC conference. His studio audience loved it, though that isn’t saying much. Stewart’s audience would erupt if he read the phone book, or did his monologue...

Like most writers, I dream of writing a bestseller. In recent days, there’s been an added dimension to this dream. I’d like the book to be popular enough to merit an appearance on Jon Stewart’s The Daily Show. When he asks me a question, I want to take the opportunity to tell him exactly what I think of his show and tell him to stop hurting America. This stunt would be the same one that Stewart pulled in 2004, when he was given the opportunity to appear on CNN’s Crossfire to promote his book and instead decided to rip the...

We love writers who are able to make connections that other people miss. Like Richard Cohen did in the Washington Post this week. What Jon Stewart needs is Jon Stewart. He could use a droll comedian to temper his ferocity and correct him when he’s wrong, as he was about the financial media, particularly CNBC and its excitable analyst Jim Cramer. They didn’t cover up the story of financial shenanigans. They didn’t even know it existed. We’ll leave it to you to read the heart of the opinion piece, but here’s how Cohen concludes: ...

I don't like John Stewart. I think he totally bias, and one sided. But, that said, if he does more stuff along these lines, I might tune in. NEW YORK (Reuters) – NBC Universal Chief Executive Jeff Zucker fired back at comedian Jon Stewart on Wednesday, saying it was "unfair" and "absurd" for the funnyman to criticize CNBC and question its coverage of financial news. "Everybody wants to find a scapegoat. That's human nature," Zucker said during a keynote address at a media industry conference. "But to suggest that the business media or CNBC was responsible for what is going on now is absurd."

There is a virtual ban on criticism of him in the press. Uncritical praise corrupts absolutely. Jon Stewart’s recent attack on CNBC’s Jim Cramer was so brilliantly performed, so smoothly produced and cruelly compelling, almost nobody noticed that it didn’t make sense. The climax came as Stewart put up a number of grainy clips of Cramer describing how to artificially (and unethically) depress a company’s stock price. The video was damning. Cramer looked sweaty. Stewart summed up the significance of what Cramer had said on the tape: “You can draw a straight line from those shenanigans to the stuff that...

A Page Six spy who recently shared an elevator ride at the NYSE with Leibowitz and Big Board CEO Duncan Niederauer says, "They both got off on the sixth floor, after Leibowitz had practically been doing everything but shine his shoes for the short ride up. What a routine they have. One brother pretends to kick Wall Street's butt by crucifying Cramer on his show, while the other brother is down on Wall Street kissing it."

In the last two weeks, a Democrat and CNBC host, Jim Cramer, has suffered the wrath of his own political party in the same fashion as Joe the Plumber. This time, Jon Stewart of the Daily Show decided to attack Jim Cramer because Cramer dared to support Rick Santelli in his rant against Obama's unfocused resolution of the recession and the bailout of irresponsible borrowers. It was Joe the Plumber, in spades, all over again with Stewart focusing in on Cramer's stock picking faults and not on what he had said about Obama's policies. When it was all over, no...

In this CNN segment, Tucker Carlson dares to notice that John Stewart went after CNBC's Jim Cramer only after Cramer criticized Comrade Obama's budget. The reaction by CNN's panel of liberals is nothing less than fury. I think Stephanie Miller must believe that if she just keeps saying Stewart is funny, it may become true.
-
Before he left CNBC's Jim Cramer in the dirt, Jon Stewart had pretty much knocked CNN's "Crossfire" off the air and drawn blood from Chris Matthews and Bill Kristol, among others. But he also played a role in helping to elect Barack Obama. Mainly it was through his show's withering and wicked mockery of President Bush and Vice President Cheney for several years, and much of the same directed at John McCain and Sarah Palin (Stewart suggested that she might be "tagged and released into the wilderness"). Here are just a few of Stewart's highlights for the final year of...

snip Incidentally, earlier in this dust-up Stewart presented an edited clip which purported to show that Cramer was claiming Bear-Sterns was a solid investment days before it went tits-up. This is a lie. I know it's a lie because I mentioned this here when it happened, claiming the same thing. I was immediately informed by commenters that Cramer hadn't been talking about investments in Bear-Sterns being safe, but merely deposits there, which are federally insured (up to $100,000 at that time, now $250,000) and that therefore there was no reason to run on the bank and withdraw such money. When commenters...

WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House's chief spokesman on Friday said he enjoyed watching "The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart give a lashing to CNBC's Jim Cramer over how he and the business network have covered the collapsing economy. Cramer's Thursday appearance on Stewart's Comedy Central program garnered buzz that carried all the way to the White House briefing room. Press secretary Robert Gibbs said he had spoken with President Barack Obama on Thursday about watching the Stewart-Cramer showdown. "I forgot to e-mail and remind him that it was on, so I don't know if he's seen it," Gibbs said...

Anyone notice how CNBC's Jim Cramer ripped Obama's policy initiatives, expressing dismay at how Obama was continually screwing up in regards to fixing the financial mess, and how Jon Stewart takes Jim Cramer to task after the fact? Where was Jon Stewart before Jim Cramer ripped Obama's policy initiatives? And where was Jon Stewart in regards to how Barney Frank, the Banking Queen, and Chris Dodd did more than their fair share of helping to screw the economy up? I'm no fan of Jim Cramer, but I really doubt Jon Stewart's sincerity in this matter.
