Forecasters last night warned people to batten down the hatches again as swathes of the UK were still reeling from the after effects of hurricane-force winds and rain in the run up to Christmas.

Tens of thousands of families had to flee flooded homes yesterday after the storm, described as the most intense for 127 years.

More disruption is predicted from 90mph winds tonight with 300 weather warnings in place across the country as the prospect of a month’s rainfall in the next 24 hours threatened more devastating flooding.

Experts said the unprecedented weather helped produce the most stormy Christmas on record with its destruction claiming six lives in three days.

As well as families forced from their homes into emergency shelters for the holiday, some 100,000 houses were left without power.

You stay in one piece over there, okay?
And mimes are fair game, especially during emergencies.

Or is it God trying to wake up a once “ Christian “ nation to it’s senses ?

There is, a finality of God's judgment when he do so judges.
However ? if there is of any of God's people left, God in love chastises his people to stop going in the wrong direction.
God brings hardships, misery, chastisement to his people to wake them up from their slumber, to bring revival to his people, that is ? if there are any left in a nation.

I recommend that everyone read the comment under the article by WSussex. The article is sensationalized. WSussex debunks it.

my family and I are in so. France with friends for Christmas. Very intense wind rain and lighting last night. We see on the tele 140k with out power and lots of flooding around Paris. I know it is the wrong side of the channel but I have seen the weather first hand and even the locals say it was a big storm. Scary as hell landing in bilboa spain. Worst landing I have ever had the displeasure to experience. As always the press shows the worst of the worst, but no joke overall.
