Hell really is a place that is best likened to brimstone and fire. On earth we have goodness in various stages of disarray and compromise. Even with a Ronald Reagan. It is comparative on earth.
The point I hope to make, Lee, is that attitudes like that which greeted Mitt last year with lukewarm main election support were probably misguided. Mitt was badly checkered with a faith that looks more to be like a weather vane than any sort of moral compass. But even then, with the wind blowing the right way he could have been more friend than foe. Certainly not the dedicated foe that Obama has been. However in God’s plans sometimes adversity is called for in order to steel believers and warn unbelievers. (Still, to volunteer to BE the adversary in such a situation is to volunteer to be hired under Satan’s wage plan. That earns death.)

I imagine that didn't go over well, telling Laz he gives God no glory. Would you be amused if someone said you didn't either, based on a ridiculous hypothetical political argument, to wit: "Would I vote for Christy?" That's about as hypothetical as it gets around here. We don't know if he'll run, if he'll win Primaries if he does, or if he'll win enough to be in the General Election in '16, and we have folks being rebuked for being unGodly based on that. Being a forum with such a libertarian bent, I imagine there would be much louder reactions to rebukes in general.
I wouldn't judge whether you owe "amends" for that, but it was a rather direct comment that you don't know if its correct or not, applied to Laz.
I have always thought of you two as good friends, and I suppose this was a collision bound to happen, but I hope you guys eventually come to an arrangement....
