Arizona residents can purchase any legal firearm and take it home with them. Same day, no waiting period. If it's a private party sale, no 4473 and no FFL transfer fee like CA.

If you are a CCW permit holder an FFL doesn't need to phone in the 4473 but you still have to fill out the stupid form. (Chops a lot of time off the purchase and with the right dealer can save you bucks if you're willing to negotiate.)

Then again, you don't really need to have a CCW permit to carry unless you want to carry in other states, in an establishment that serves alcohol or within 200 free of a school. Otherwise you're free to carry, open or concealed, without a "permit". Life is simple here and the crime rate is still low - except where the Federal Government arms the drug gangs.
