DES MOINES, Iowa The Iowa Department of Human Services said Friday that Iowans who have applied through the federal health care portal should reapply using the websites or call center.
Officials said they were notified by federal officials that there would be an additional delay in getting needed information needed to process Iowan's applications from HealthCare.gov.
"We are working hard to ensure that Iowans who applied through HealthCare.gov will be enrolled in health coverage. We are encouraging Iowans who applied at the federal portal to reapply through our state website and call center," said DHS Director Charles M. Palmer. "We will make every effort to process applications in a timely manner so that these Iowans can have certainty about their health care coverage."
DHS said it is sending emails and letters to the nearly 16,000 Iowans whose applications are held at the federal hub.
Iowans should reapply through the state website at dhsservices.iowa.gov or by calling 1-855-889-7985.
Tried it - got transferred to India.
Does this mean they can tabulate that the number of applicants has doubled?
Yes. Exactly. Win-win. Applicants are applicants, regardless of whether successful or not.
They probably will do that
The only thing I’m hearing is the number of “visits” to the website. This is reported with great fanfare. But, just what is a visit? Do they sign up? Get frustrated and terminate the “visit”? Find out just how much they will be shafted and say no thanks?
Does anyone know the real answer?
How many browser “redirects” are they employing to gin up the click count?
There is no healthcare. When are these idiots going to see that?
They have to reapply so they can be counted twice.
You have to remember that they consider someone that signed up a success and haven’t paid a nickle in premiums!! Just think what your stockholders would say if it were a business!!!!
