This is too funny and highly appropriate! Over 136 posts and no one gets the parallel to Woody Allen’s Banana’s? What did the radical socialist do when installed as leader? He announced an edict requiring all citizens to change their underwear every half hour, wear it on the outside, and changed the official language from Spanish to Swedish. I’m sure Banning horse cariages was next on his list.

Here is Bill Deblasio back in 1971: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EV4N2dk0cMk

Have fun New San Marcos York. It’ll be fun watching you from afar!

“BTW - New Yorkers: Arizona sucks! Sucks big time! Rattlesnakes and 125 deg heat! No water! Life is not worth living here! Stay away!”

Love it!

Hey, Texas too! New Yorkers will HATE Texas! We believe in God and family and the bible and well, there are already enough liberal communists here to make trouble,,so you NYers can move along to another spot. Chicago might be more to your liking!

A possibility, true.

But they shocked Detroit by letting them swing...

Sieg. F**king. Heil.

In other news, the Lone Ranger died in New York today. He went down in a hail of gunfire when NYPD spotted him open carrying and drinking a Big Gulp on his horse, Silver. They fired 66 rounds in his general direction resulting in one bystander killed, five wounded and the Lone Ranger dying of head trauma incurred falling off his startled horse.

The bomb squad neutralized the leaking Big Gulp without further incident. /s

Why do I have visions of carriages drawn by full size electric robot horses?

Horses NEED to ‘work’ like this or they’ll wither and DIE.

While I agree this would stupid ban, you claim is far from true. Wild Horse survive just fine. Working and proper care may actual give them better health and longer life, but it isn't essential for basic survival. And yes, I do own a horse; my daughter races him at rodeos.

de Blasio is mentally ill

"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." - Albert Einstein

Dinkins, Bloomberg, now de Blasio....

NEW YORKERS are mentally ill!

Sweden is much more conservative than New York.

Lower tax rates
No automatic citizenship
Etc.

It wouldn’t surprise me if part of the “War on Inequality” were ordinances making it financially prohibative for the affluent and companies to flee the city. Major “exit taxes” on moves originating from the city. Coupled with union action/intimidation.

Deblasio is an a**, but he isn’t dumb. He knows that if the people who can afford to flee actually flee, his socialist schemes run out of other peoples’ money much faster than they would otherwise and the whole thing collapses on his head.

He’ll have some plan to imprison current residents and companies in the city. Count on it.

LOL! TAM was actually showing “Bananas” on my flight from São Paulo to JFK last week. The opening scene with Howard Cosell covering the assasination is my second favorite scene in any Woody Allen movie (the first being the Marshall McLuhan cameo in Annie Hall).

“I have no problem with horse back riding or carriage riding. I have a problem with what horses have to go through in that damn city.”

I understand; I just think the operators are under a lot of scrutiny now, and this prevents most maltreatment. As far as conditions in NYC, I don’t think humans should be subjected to it. It is no coincidence that it is becoming a very “foreign” city; it only holds appeal to people for whom such conditions are a step up...
