Magpul pulling up stakes, heading out of Colorado

Magpul Industries threatened to leave Colorado after the legislature passed a measure banning weapons magazines with more than 15 rounds.

And now that is official.

The Erie-based ammunition magazine manufacturer said on Thursday that it is relocating its operations to Cheyenne and Texas.

"Moving operations to states that support our culture of individual liberties nad personal responsibility is important," CEO Richard Fitzpatrick said in a press release. "This relocation will also improve business operations and logistics as we utilize the strengths of Texas and Wyoming in our expansion.

The move is expected to happen within the next 12 to 16 months, the company said.

I am glad to see this. I hope to see more in the future.

To my mind, Beretta HAS to move it’s holdings out of Prince Obama’s Maryland.

Not a big fan of their shotgun stocks and AR hand guards, but the CTR stocks are pretty nice as are their mags. Glad they’re leaving Colorado.

Good. Hopefully they will leave their employees behind with instructions to see their legislative members about their paycheck.

We have some friends that own a business in the people’s republic of Maryland. They are looking for a buyer so they can leave the state for good.

With this move, Colorado becomes a little bluer.

I forgot to ask what factors caused Colorado to become such a leftist bastion in the last 10 years? That state is totally gone. It is now like California.

Californication, along with a large illegal population.

Thought they already pulled out a couple of months ago.

One factor is the tech influx from California. My brother-in-law’s company moved to Boulder about 12 years ago. Hard-drive manufacturers. He’s a marketing CEO, more money than Davey Crocket, and liberal as they get.

Hopefully they will leave their employees behind with instructions to see their legislative members about their paycheck.

First, I would bet that virtually NONE of Magpul's employees voted for the scumbags that put them into this predicament. Second, Magpul would be very foolish to leave behind a trained workforce in its entirety. Third, a good many are probably moving with Magpul.

IOW, screw you and your attitude; it's not their fault.

I wish everyone could pull out of socialist run states...and let them die in their own discord...however, I suspect the socialist run fed’s would heavily tax the prosperous free enterprise states to support the dying ones...we totally need to flip the federal govt. ... park a bus in front of it - and do it - fix it - and yell, “Move that bus!”

Thanks I wonder what it is about the computer industry that produces such leftists?

Ameilius:

1) Many people moved from California to Colorado when Bush Sr. slashed the military budget long ago.
2) Boulder libs have spilled over into Denver
3) After 911 many east coast libs moved into the mountains.

The rural vote used to override Boulder and North Denver but now the mountain libs are tipping the scales blue.

This story is actually very bad news. Erie is very conservative and now with less jobs they will be moving looking for work. So, unfortunately, this will color us even more blue.

Sorry Colorado. Texas is happy to get some of Magpul’s operations.

The idiots commenting on the web site apparently are OK with their state having its economy weakened, if only by a little, and more of their fellow citizens unemployed.

I hope the people of CO can take their state back from the Californiacs and Mexicans posing as Americans. Maybe next election the RAT voters will be too stoned to get to the polls.

Quite correct. The best companies always offer their key employees moving packages.
