Obamacare may have promised health insurance for the masses. But on its first day, its left more Americans without coverage than before the law was passed.
More than 4.7 million Americans had their health insurance canceled as a result of any of the thousand-plus-page laws new rules, The Associated Press reports, but the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) confirmed Tuesday that between federal and state exchanges, just two million Americans have signed up for Obamacare coverage.
The Obama administration has yet to announce the final tally of full enrollments, which are only confirmed once customers have made their first payment, but Cato Institute health policy expert Michael Cannon warns that not all those who signed up will complete their purchases, potentially leaving the White House with an even lower bottom line.

Or haven't paid their premiums, thinking that "Obama will pay it all for me." Peggy Joseph, anyone?
I’m still waiting for my $2,500 check from 0bamaDontCare.
Obama gonna buy me a muhcedeez benz n whatever...with his stash.
Also, apparently millions of the Medicaid applicants already had Medicaid; they had to transfer their identity to the exchanges...but those aren’t new signups.

WOW! I hadn’t realized that they HAD to sign up on the exchanges. Yes, that means millions less actually signed up.

In my state all previous Medicaid enrollees had to do was renew, same as any other year. Some did renew through the state exchange, others through more traditional means. They WERE NOT counted as new enrollees, and there are no federal Medicaid members, only state, so the federal exchange would have nothing to do with it.
I wouldn’t believe anything this administration says... they’re nothing but a bunch of liars.
The only people stupid enough to believe the folks in the Obama Administration are the employees of the New York Times. They probably still think ‘you can keep your plan if you like your plan’. That’s how dumb they are...
4.7 million plus have lost their health insurance and 2 million have enrolled. Apparently some of the 4.7 have signed up. But where are the 30-50 million of the uninsured that this program was supposed to help?
