CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) -- One of the country's largest producers of ammunition magazines for guns is leaving Colorado and moving operations to Wyoming and Texas because of new state laws that include restrictions on how many cartridges a magazine can hold.

Same here.
Perhaps we can carpool.
I've been on this story lately just to see where they were going. I always thought Cheyenne was best, and so did they. I would dump the TX plans if I were Magpul. Texas has gotten some kind of Austin fever because they've been running wildly left lately.
Lame, lame, lame...If a person doesn’t want to read the posted article it is best to refrain comments. MHO.
Heck Yeah.....
I've been wondering whether ARs and other arms that normally come with mags that hold more than 15 rds can still be sold in CO? Seems like that would be a problem with the new mag law. Might have to buy those out of state too.
For now I'll content myself with my SKS and the numerous grandfathered mags I have. Honey badger don't care and neither does the sheriff. lol
They will have a VERY limited presence in CO. The exact presence is not specified.
Hope this eats you Governor Chickenpooper. And you to ComDem POLs. Colorado hunters will be stalking you in the 2014 elections. I know it’s coming.
Welcome MagPull to the great State of Texas.
Meh

In Case You Missed It: Magpul Industries to Move Headquarters to Texas
AUSTIN Firearm accessories manufacturer Magpul Industries has announced it is relocating its corporate headquarters from Colorado to Texas. Magpul began a nationwide relocation search following the passage of anti-2nd Amendment legislation in Colorado this summer that made it difficult for the company to do business.
In Texas, we understand that freedom breeds prosperity, which is why weve built our economy around principles that allow employers to innovate, keep more of what they earn, and create jobs, Gov. Perry said. Im proud that Magpul is the latest employer to join the ranks of companies that call Texas home.
Excessive government regulation undermines a culture based on personal responsibility and creates a detrimental business environment, Magpul CEO Richard Fitzpatrick said. Texas supports personal freedoms and our company will thrive in that environment.
Gov. Perry has reached out to more than 30 firearm manufacturers in states across the country that are considering restricting sales and manufacturing in the industry. Magpul cited the Lone Star States business-friendly environment, predictable regulations and consistent respect for the Second Amendment as key elements in its decision to relocate.

“Texas has gotten some kind of Austin fever because they’ve been running wildly left lately”
Forget that crap.
Texas has gotten some kind of Austin fever because they’ve been running wildly left lately.
Ummmmm, care to expound? Can’t see any Austin fever impact from anywhere beyond 10 miles of 6th Street.
How’s Open Carrying going?
Sorry I brought it up.
CO people will be thrilled to see this business leave their confines.
Did not mean to be rude. It is a sore point in TX. Austin is a place of insanity. Too many misplaced old hippies and assorted leftists. They gravitate to Universities (if that is what you call UT?) and to government jobs. So, they are in or near Austin.
Real Texans hold them in high contempt.
It’s not just Austin; it’s El Paso, the Rio Grande Valley, downtown San Antonio, downtown Houston, downtown Dallas — enough base for a Democrat to start on a path to victory. But even once reliably Democrat small cities like Temple, Lufkin, Nacogdoches, and H. Ross Perot’s Texarkana are moving Republican.
It’s really amazing that Paul Ryan did as well in the debate as he did against Biden. Ryan had virtually no talking points that he could rely on.
Agreed. Austin, the Capital, is a little off the Mean in TX. I apologize.
Thanks!!
Never saw that!
