HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius has made much of the claim that 2 million people have enrolled, in some form or other, in the Obamacare program. She has hailed it as a success and declares the worst of its rocky rollout is over. But data from 17 states the only data that is publicaly available suggests that only half of enrollees have actually paid a premium. .....
The uncertainty over whos paid or even whos enrolled is now having practical repercussions as people with heightened expectations come face to face with database air gaps and monetary reality. The Daily Mail describes how people who think they have enrolled in Obamacare are finding that nobody knows anything about it.
Hospital staff in Northern Virginia are turning away sick people on a frigid Thursday morning because they cant determine whether their Obamacare insurance plans are in effect.
She was leaving the building without getting a needed chest x-ray.
The people in there told me that since I didnt have an insurance card, I would be billed for the whole cost of the x-ray, Galvez said, her young daughter in tow. Its not fair you know, I signed up last week like I was supposed to.
The x-rays cost, she was told, would likely be more than $500.
Its unlikely that a valid insurance card would have changed Galvez fortunes, however.
Her Carefirst plan, identified on the Obamacare website as BlueChoice Plus Bronze, carries a $5,500 per-person deductible for 2014 an amount she would have to pay out-of-pocket before her coverage would apply to medical expenses.

"A similar situation frustrated Mary, an African-American woman small businesswoman I had chest pains last night, and they took me in the emergency room, Mary said. They told me they were going to admit me, but when I told them I hadnt heard from my insurance company since I signed up, they changed their tune. a nurse advised her that her bill would go up by at least $3,000 if she were admitted for a day, and her doctor told her the decision was up to her.
If Mary didnt have a heart condition before she entered the hospital she probably has one now. Many people, especially the poor are susceptible to misunderstanding the fine print. Perhaps there was something a navigator hadnt told her."
Such is Wretchard's dry humor.
From another’s post:The best thing I can say about the ACA is this: In the 1960’s one of the largest and most lucrative brothels in Nevada was shut down and taken over by the government for tax evasion. This brothel had been in operation for more than forty years and had been a million-dollar business. Six months after the government took it over, the business declared bankruptcy and was liquidated. The moral of this story is that we have handed over our entire healthcare system to people that couldn’t even make money selling whores and whiskey twenty miles from Reno.
Communists and Community Organizers alike think nothing of breaking a few eggs to make one giant omelet that nobody likes/wants.
These are just fluke glitches. Pelosi has assured us the perfected ACA will be “glorious”.
Looks like some of Holders people are happy navigators (HPN).....
HPN....OK whitey....lets check your voter registrations ....
HPN....Looks like you need to make a couple of adjustments here....
OK now I see it......your colonoscopy is scheduled for next month.....and the insulin will be mailed as before...
HPN Thinks...."this desk job sure beats stealing cell phones and a once a year gig patrolling voting booths with my billy club."

The only possible solution is to have bureaucrats administer your health care for us all, via single payer. And take it out of our paychecks so we are not bothered with making those troublesome payments. It's as inevitable as sunrise, just a question of timing.
