“Cameron has radically overhauled the “Tories,” embracing nationalized health care, fighting for gay marriage, and changing the party logo from the flame of liberty to an environmentally conscious tree. This, UKIP argues, makes them indistinguishable from the left-wing Labour Party and Liberal Democrats.”

This is a key point, something that our domestic Tea Partiers need to embrace and exploit because of the fecklessness of the “conservative elites” in the GOP that basically are attacking a politically philisophical ally since the inception of the American Tea Party movement...

Find the similarities between the liberal democrats and the GOPe’s and the Tea Party can move forward as a party instead of just backing specific candidates...

Just my opinion...

So I guess this doesn't really signal a sea change. The conservatives have simply changed parties.

I'd prefer that we conservatives take over the Republican Party, and let the Collaborators start their own party.

The problem with Cameron’s strategy (as with the GOPe) is that it doesnt work. Rather than risk unpopularity by fighting the tide of political correctness, he has tried to show the electorate that he can be nice too by “modernising”. The problem is that the socialists, liberals and progressives still arent going to vote for him, and the conservatives, nationalists and capitalists who oppose the measures are going to be utterly dismayed and turn against him too. So, although in the short term he might gain some votes, in the long term he loses both ways, because he is effectively acknowledging that the liberals, socialists and progressives have won the argument and are right.

Cameron’s “Conservative” Party is trying to fake some conservatism and gin up emotional wedges, talking about tougher rules for inmates in prison and such.

But its the same kind of phony malarkey the Republican politicians in this country spread around exploiting fear and resentment among grassroots conservatives.

The story of UKIP reminds us there is a third party option.

Yeah. We gave them an inch; they took a mile. It’s time to take back 1000 miles. Eagles up!
