Tiger Mom: Some cultural groups are superior
New York Post ^ | January 4, 2014 | Maureen Callahan

She’s doubling down.

Amy Chua, the self-proclaimed “Tiger Mom” who, in 2011, published a book arguing that Chinese women are superior mothers — thus their offspring superior children — has even more to say.

In “The Triple Package,” Chua and her husband, co-author Jed Rubenfeld, gather some specious stats and anecdotal evidence to argue that some groups are just superior to others and everyone else is contributing to the downfall of America.

Unsurprisingly, the Chinese Chua and the Jewish Rubenfeld belong to two of the eight groups they deem exceptional. In no seeming order of importance, they are: •Jewish •Indian •Chinese •Iranian •Lebanese-Americans •Nigerians •Cuban exiles •Mormons

These groups — “cultural,” mind you, never “ethnic” or “racial” or “religious” — all possess, in the authors’ estimation, three qualities that they’ve identified as guarantors of wealth and power: superiority, insecurity and impulse control.

If a white anglo wrote such a book they’d be hung out to dry as white supremacists by the media and pc police, and the book would never see the light of day.. Double standards are SOP by the PC police.

If the book said that it would never be published. The white protestant work ethic has been purposely destroyed by the commies.

Yup - in my small world and business experience, they are cut-throat and lie at the drop of a hat. Absence of Biblical teaching in their culture is very obvious.

I find it interesting that the lady misses the largest group of successful people in America by a mile. WASP who embrace the protestant work ethic. This group controls nearly all the levers of wealth and power in the US and always has. 80-90% of the wealthy in America belong to this group. These are the owners of nearly every business in the US, and they go unseen because they largely blend into the larger population. This group is talked about extensively in “The Millionaire Next Door”

A big part of raising kids that not only succeed but also become leaders and policy makers comes down to having a cohesive nuclear family. Also needed is the financial ability to have a dedicated stay at home mom, and the money and connections to get them to an Ivy League college..

Our culture in America was changed. Hollywood changed it. Our Congress changed it by importing poverty and not enforcing our borders. Congress failed to defend our jobs and economy by giving it and our security to China. Wall st made out well but most Americans lost.

Perhaps we should ask ourselves why the orientals (Chinese in this case) are NOT considered minorities when it comes to receiving college grants and the same benefits given to say, the other "minorities"?

“Chinese women are superior mothers”

Superior at getting their babies aborted the most in the world. Wow Chinese women you are proud of that record?

"Academically superior individuals isn't a culture."

A successful culture generates academically superior individuals.....see "home schooling". Yes, you need some basic genetics, but more can be accomplished by hard work than depending on in-born superiority.

I’ve done business with a number of oriental ladies. They’re tough negotiators, smart and hard workers.

They left out Koreans, a country that went from a 3rd world backwater to one of the top economies on Earth in a generation
