As the Iraqi army and al Qaeda-linked militants battle for control of the city of Falluja, Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham are slamming the Obama administration for its Iraq policy.
More than two years after the administration failed to reach a status of forces agreement with Iraq and withdrew all American combat troops from the country, the two senior Republican senators are blaming President Barack Obama for the violence erupting there this week.
While many Iraqis are responsible for this strategic disaster, the administration cannot escape its share of the blame. When President Obama withdrew all U.S. forces from Iraq in 2011, over the objections of our military leaders and commanders on the ground, many of us predicted that the vacuum would be filled by Americas enemies and would emerge as a threat to U.S. national security interests. Sadly, that reality is now clearer than ever, said McCain, of Arizona, and Graham, of South Carolina, in a statement.

It will roll off like water from a duck. . . .
Why are these two always together?
They’re so weird.
These two morons just won't go away . . . will they?
John and Lindsey spend their holding up a wet finger to see which way the political wind is blowing in order to serve themselves better you see.
All three of these stooges should be having a circular slap fest.
Its the mideast, violence is almost as predictable as their weather.
Oh my. The Bobbsey twins are straying off the plantation!
I blame it on the Jihad pillar of Islam.
What a colossal waste of blood and treasure in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and next Iran, not to mention Libya & Syria.
In the case of these two that can elicit a very bad image.
Much too little, far too late. The sooner these two pansies wither on the vine, the better.
You mean a circle jerk?
Ok, I know Graham is up for re-election. I can only assume that McCain is as well, since he seems to have chosen this time to remove his lips from Obama’s butt.
They’ll be “apologizing” to Barry tomorrow.
One of the reason’s I supported Bush’s invasion of Iraq, in fact the main reason, was because I thought a “friendly” Iraq would break up the physical Muslin control of countries from Pakistan/Afghanistan west through Morocco; and even start a reversal of terrorist incursions in those countries.
Another thing The ObamAss has Detrioted Up.
So, John and Lindsay are for AQ in Syria, but not Iraq.
Got it.
It could have been done, but the entire invasion/post invasion strategy was botched big time. The Bush administration made some really stupid decisions that led to a protracted insurgency. The dumbest decision was to disband the Iraqi Army. It took too damn long to build a military from the ground up, and as we can now see the one we built is not very competent. The 2nd dumbest decision was to halt all offensive ops in Fallujia in April of 2004, allowing Zarqawi to wreak havoc across Anbar province and central Iraq for another 7 months. It also gave the appearance that Zarqawi was much stronger than he was. There were many more boneheaded decisions, but those two are the ones that made this a hell of a lot harder than it had to be.
Same here. But Bush let the one worlders, neo-cons and libs blast away our victory with idiotic rules of engagement, allowing the Iraqi religious nuts to have Sharia Law ensconced in their constitution and committing us to an extended occupation that was pointless.
The ONLY governments which can succeed in Islam are:
a Military Dictatorship
a Theocratic Dictatorship
Anarchy.
As long as the population subscribes to Islam in its current form, these are the sole possibilities.
Our best bet would have been a pro-American military dictator like Mubarak (Do you miss him now?)
Besides if Obama would sent troops back into Iraq, who would serve to be stab in the back on your service benefits.... Don't let your children grow up to be service men and women when their is a Democratic Socialism government in power that does not share your values....
