Meanwhile, Maryland Governor Martin OMalley (D) is pushing a $4.5 million effort to retrain workers in other industries, including green jobs. That's the Democrats for you. Destroy sustainable, productive jobs, then get people dependent on government programs to retrain them to go into fad-of-the-day, unsustainable BS jobs. Then when the BS jobs start to dry up, give subsidies to those companies or retrain the workers to go into other BS jobs.

RE:”
Nonetheless, both Republicans and Democrats in Washington continue to maintain that America requires more unskilled, cheap labor via immigration, despite the loss of 6 million factory jobs between 2000 and 2009. That has been the pitch from immigration reform advocates, who insist that the cure-all for the American economy is an endless supply of less educated migrants to fill do the jobs Americans wont. I bet the reason why employers want new immigrant workers is because they not having roots or houses are willing to go where the jobs are.
Western Maryland has little industry and I bet property values are suppressed(so they wont sell them till forced to), but there are plenty of jobs here in Central Maryland.
And thats where the immigrants are moving to.

People don’t stop to realize that an older worker may be a better employee, but with ObamaCare, the cost of insuring an older worker is much, much higher than a younger worker.
I neutralized that issue by having my own personal health insurance. Of course, the individual insurance plans have all but disappeared.
It’s not fair .. but whoever said the DEMOCRATS know how to play fair ..??

Youd think that after 20-some-years working someplace at least somebody would think you area a good person, that youd show up on time every day, and that would be worth something, Luther Brooks, a 50-year-old former worker at the plant told the Washington Post. I cant get nothing. Ive tried.I wonder whose policies ol' Luther has been voting in the past 20-some-years?

Nonetheless, both Republicans and Democrats in Washington continue to maintain that America requires more unskilled, cheap labor via immigration, despite the loss of 6 million factory jobs between 2000 and 2009. That is a big problem. Both Republicans and Democrats maintain an open borders (anti Sovereign Nation) policy while the economy is hemorrhaging jobs.

More crap about Green Joba.
I don’t usually watch 60 Minutes, but last night, they talked about all the money Obama wasted on loans & grants on ‘Green Jobs” that have totally failed.
The total of American Taxpayer MONEY was OVER $150 BILLION. How much better could that money have been spent?
How many people lost their own hard earned after-tax money on such investments?????
The GREEN movement will be shown in the long run to be a complete scam.

The media, politicians, and big business keeps trying to sell the idea that this country needs immigration amnesty. Those are some pretty powerful opponents, but conservatives are on the right side of this issue of course. American citizen rights must come first. What we need to do is to reach all the traditional Democrat special interests, like blacks and union members, to let them know how badly amnesty will affect them.
There's a golden opportunity here, I think, for populist, conservative leaders to emerge and be elected, because there's plenty of agreement by Americans on certain issues, like amnesty. Most Americans may not want every illegal alien deported, especially the hard cases like children who have been raised here their entire lives, but most Americans certainly don't want the immigration doors thrown wide.
Abortion is another issue where conservatives can win. Most Americans do not support abortion on demand at any time for any reason. While I think Americans aren't ready to outlaw abortion outright in all cases (Democrats love to use the hard cases, like incest and rape, to push for unlimited abortion), Americans will certainly support reasonable restrictions on abortion. "Safe, legal, and rare" worked for Democrats as it's a populist position, except Democrats never really wanted to make abortion rare.
There are many issues just like the above where conservatives should be able to win easy majorities. The media, of course, will try to make our views seem extreme. That's what they always do. Our challenge will be to show that we actually hold the mainstream position on most issues: jobs, immigration, abortion, gay marriage, overseas wars, etc.
