SUVs, Secret Service agents and Oprah!
Michelle Obama's extended Hawaii vacation plans have leaked thanks to security sightings reported by locals near Oprah Winfrey's tropical vacation home.
The Maui News reports residents said saw police cars and black SUVs near Winfrey's home in Kula on the island of Maui. The talk show host owns several hundred acres on the island.
Other residents told local news outlets that security personnel asked them to leave the area and that paparazzi have been spotted.
President Obama left Hawaii, where the first family spent the holidays, on Saturday with daughters Sasha and Malia. The White House said the first lady would remain behind to spend time with friends ahead of her upcoming birthday.
She turns 50 on Jan. 17. Also on this girls' getaway: CBS' Gayle King, White House adviser/Obama friend Valerie Jarrett and Sharon Malone, the wife of Attorney General Eric Holder, according to the Daily Caller.
The East Wing did not respond to a request for comment and White House spokesman Jay Carney was mum on details at Monday's press briefing.
He did say the first lady would fly back on a government aircraft but "appropriately fund personal expenses."
Carney confirmed that it was the president's suggestion that Michelle Obama stay in Hawaii to spend time with her friends ahead of her birthday.
"And if you have kids, you know that telling your spouse that they can go spend a week away from home is actually a big present. Not that we don’t love our kids," Carney said.
The first lady will be back in D.C. in time for her big day. And she'll reportedly be holding a dance party at the White House on Jan. 18 — no word on if Oprah will show up there too.

If I were Oprah’s next door neighbor, and the Secret Service told me that I couldn’t go home on account of the Pres’ wife staying there, they had better be prepared to shoot me right there.
I read on one of the blogs that no pictures are available of Michelle and the reason being she was getting “work done”. Anyone seen any pictures of the Mooch recently?
The big O doesn’t own any acreage. The island’s real estate is owned by the Hawaiians. She may be leasing the land but she doesn’t own it.

The White House conceded on Monday that the federal treasury will foot the bill to fly First Lady Michelle Obama back to Washington, D.C. on a separate government aircraft after she finishes her extended vacation at the palatial 12-bedroom Hawaii home of talk show legend Oprah Winfrey.
Dedicated vehicles, Secret Service costs, and security sweeps of the Winfrey estate on Maui will add considerably to the total tab.
A Fox News Channel reporter asked White House Press Secretary Jay Carney on Monday to clarify who would get the bill for Mrs. Obama’s travel, and the spinner landed on taxpayers.

10 tractor trainer truck were seen arriving at Oprah’s pad to deliver food snacks to tide them over for the weekend. 5 additional trucks were ready to go if needed.

Kind of surprised Oprah is in on it. She was publicly snubbed almost the entire reign. Persona non grata.
Then, when they are looking at their options at the end of his occupying the office, they start throwing out nets. And look what they caught.
