A grieving mother and father are asking for the publics help after their 21-year-old son was gunned down while trying to break up a fight at a pre-baptism party...
A number of fights broke out during that party, according to police. The first fight broke out over food and a lack of proper utensils. Police say that lead to an argument between one of the party guests and a kitchen helper.

Oh, and the fight was over paper plates....did you catch that?
Went to a hockey game a pre-bapitism party broke out.
A 4am pre-baptism party for your godchild, posted on TAGGED? The decline in American society is heart wrenching. There are ‘reality shows’ all over cable now showing vulgar and profane brides, vulgar housewives, etc. etc. We are becoming, or have become, the Jerry Springer show, as a country.
Pre-baptism party???
They have those?
Seems a little odd to me... like drawing attention to self rather than Christ.
This appears to have involved members of the Haitian community.
Police have no suspect, as yet.
“...a large number of uninvited guests showed up at the house after a notice about the party was posted on the social media website TAGGED.”
Who’s the idiot that posted on TAGGED?
That’s just looking for trouble.
That grabbed my attention too. Never heard of a “pre-baptism” party before. Shouldn’t you actually be baptized first before celebrating it? It’s like having a graduation party before you actually graduate. Sounds weird.
People just never seem to learn. Put your life on the net and your life is no longer your own. Advertise a party on a ‘social’ network and you have invited anyone who sees it.
STUPID!!! STUPID!!! STUPID!!!
I'm confidant that I'm correct to believe this.I travel in very sedate, buttoned down, boring circles. And BTW...I'm Irish and as you surely know we Irish don't need much of an excuse to get drunk...happy occasion *or* sad.
Key phrase "to the best of my knowledge".

*nobody* attending *any* of the many christening celebrations I’ve had the privilege to attend in my life was packing heat.”
You haven’t attended baptism parties in San Antonio then.
You'd be correct in that assumption. The only knowledge I have of San Antonio is the stories I heard from a number of guys who got their medic training at Fort Sam Houston. And most of those stories weren't very flattering. ;-)
dad was NYPD along with some cousins and my Uncle(Moms brother). when they came to family functions they would put their pieces atop the fridge where us little pitchers (hopefully)couldn’t reach them(this was in the ‘50s and early ‘60s and ideas regarding safety were different). this was true for Christmas, Christenings, independence day celebrations...etc.
I do believe it was for comfort while sitting and not for safety. this was before all the nice little lightweight guns and comfortable concealment holsters.
Classic example of the gun delusions on both sides of the debate.
The larger the number of responsible, law-abiding citizens that are armed, the more crime declines.
The larger the number of criminal, low-life thugs that pack heat all the time, the more such shootings will occur.
The variable, contrary to leftist opinion, is not the presence of concealed weapons that magically jump out and attack unsuspecting people.
Contrary to some conservative opinion, the presence of guns also does not magically prevent crime.
The variable is the character of those who are armed.
Actually, I’m not excited about attending any gathering where I’m not armed.............
