Bring back American jobs.

So why do we need to extend unemployment?

Actually, those are pretty abysmal numbers for holiday hiring. I expected them to be double that. It’s funny how they’re spinning it.

We have been sending jobs to China, for an entire generation.

Cancer is a disease.

Job loss is a policy. Reverse it.

Just saying... You may support a loss of American jobs.

I support American growth.

ADP’s report was shown worthless back in the early summer. It’s main purpose is that people hear “ADP” once a month in the media.

If this economic comeback is true then why is congress debating extending unemployment. Why is the number of Americans on food stamps and other forms of public assistance increasing? I’m tired of all the media garbage and covering up for all this liberal carnage on the American people.

ATM fees. Don’t forget ATM fees. They need to be stopped.

this is meaningless. 238,000 jobs (mostly part-time and largely temporary ones related to the Christmas shopping season) ... is still far less than we need to turn the economy around from its downwards spiral.

see especially the last chart at this page, for a quick one-second visual understanding of the problem with the Great Obama Depression:

China isn’t the only place we have been sending jobs to. The company I worked for did pretty good business as a sub installing lab equipment and remodelling labs. One piece of equipment was fume hoods. The contractor had a deal with a major manufacturer after years of U.S. production built a factory in Mexico, the quality of the fume hoods from Mexico was so poor that we wasted large quantities of time and labor fixing them. It did not take long for the contractor to cancel the contract due to the product not meeting standards. Th contractor returned to a American made product.

We need a lot more than 238,000 jobs a month to get back anytime soon to unemployment rates prior to the Recession.

We bring in 1.2 million legal immigrants a year or 120,000 a month.

Its not going to get better anytime soon.

Mew Obamacare regs. a push for higher taxes, Unemployment Insurance extension. All these things slow down hiring but the really big one is automation. It is making tons of jobs disappear and there is no hope of replacing those jobs. Machines/computers work tirelessly they don't play sick and they don't unionize and strike and demand higher wages.

You watch... they did NOT adjust these figures for being part time temp holiday jobs... but when they are laid off this week... they will not count them as becoming unemployed. One thing that is an absolute certainty... NOTHING that the government tells you should be believed. They can do nothing but lie and lie about the lies and then lie about lying about the lies.

An increase in the number of paychecks issued wouldn't tell the whole story. Lots of those new jobs are probably second part-time jobs picked up by those whose hours were cut to 29 per week.

ADP has the data to analyze changes in the hours and wages, along with the number of paychecks.

I wonder if it matters, as far as actual business being done is concerned.

The retail and food establishments around here are deserted. People are not venturing out in the cold. Some may be overwhelmed dealing with all the minutia of life in extreme cold temperatures. Some have kids home due to school closings.

My husband’s clients all made their appointments so far this week, but the phone is absolutely quiet. One client commented on how deserted the area businesses are.

ADP is Seasonally Adjusted Annualized Rate (SAAR) so the holidays are factored.

In case anyone cares here is ADP vs. NFP since 2001
