The controversial lane closures at the George Washington Bridge last September delayed emergency responders from attending to at least four medical situations in Fort Lee — including helping a 91-year-old woman who lay unconscious and later died, according to a report by The Record.
Democrats have long accused Republican Gov. Chris Christie of ordering the lane closures as political retribution for Fort Lee's Democratic mayor refusing to endorse his re-election bid last year. Today, newly unveiled e-mails show that one of Christie's top aides knew about the closures in advance. The governor himself has denied being involved and today issued a statement admonishing the aide.

Jeb is the next Republican to lose the election after “winning” the nomination.He will do it for his and the family honor.He will run as a conservative and get ALL the left votes because everyone knows he is not a conservative. NSA will provide all the dirt and can-be-made-to-look-like dirt to the Rnc crowd on all the actual conservatives in the primaries. Jeb will “win.” He will then, in the classic mold of the patrician Republicans, throw the election.
Primaries cannot get us a useful result so long as major ones are open. The Democrats will have chosen their nominee by the time primary season begins and Democrats will, as last time and the time before that, flood into the Republican primaries to nominate Jeb Bush.
Seriously? I say this because I look at the participation rates. Open or closed, not even Democrats manage to pack them at high participation rates. Get the participation rates up by the supposedly responsible, sane folks. I see a lot of stay-home hand-wringers among them.
Not that I sympathize with the Joysey Doughboy, but when is the media going to start talking about all the "lane closures" that cut people off from their healthcare, caused by Obamacare? Five million people lost their insurance -- you'd think we would be swamped with horrid tales of the premature deaths of little old ladies and children cut off from their health care. But of course that's not convenient, since Christie is (at least nominally) a Republican.

Chances are the response times were still shorter than typical NYC 911 response times!
I've long believed that Christie just isn't nominatable -- or electable, except in his own mind. But this was a traffic jam. Compared to the viciousness and corruption of the Obama administration, Christie is an amateur.
I would think all the people involved should be arrested for manslaughter.

Obamacare is already likely responsible for death sentences for thousands that lost their insurance — even if they are a tiny percent of the five million it’s a lot of people.
Who mourns for them?
