The Obama administration released a YouTube video on Wednesday by Obama Science Advisor Dr. John Holdren blaming ‘global warming’ for the recent polar vortex driven outbreak of sub-zero weather in North America.
The two-minute-twelve-second long official White House video opens with a satellite image dated January 7, 2014 of most of the central and eastern United States and Canada covered in clouds and snow (any evocation of the Day After Tomorrow is pure propaganda coincidence) . For the entire length of the video, Holdren speaks over a hypnotic synth-music track while varying graphics promoting global warming appear on the screen with him.
“If you’ve been hearing that extreme cold spells like the one that we’re having in the United States now disproves global warming, don’t believe it. The fact is that no single weather episode can either prove or disprove global climate change. Climate is the pattern of weather that we observe geographically and over the seasons. And it’s described in terms of averages, variations and probabilities.
“But a growing body of evidence suggests that the kind of extreme cold being experienced by much of the United States as we speak is a pattern that we can expect to see with increasing frequency as global warming continues. And the reason is this: In the warming world that we’re experiencing the far north, the Arctic, is warming roughly twice as rapidly as the mid-latitudes, such as the United States. That means that the temperature difference between the Arctic and the mid-latitudes is shrinking. And that temperature difference drives what is called the circumpolar vortex which is the great counter-clockwise swirling mass of cold

They are basically saying that since there is less ice in the poles on Earth, that cold water and air warms and pushes the cold air down further into the south......That makes absolutely no sense to me. Or anyone with a brain. The less ICE there is, the warmer it should be, but it isn’t.

This is clearly a period of Climatic Countraversion inherent from a prolonged period of ribaltered induction.
Why do they have to say it? Because as the WSJ editorial said this week, and we all know, this Climate Change bidnyz has been politicized, corrupted by the money promised to various Solyndras whose very existence owes to this secular religion. D’UH! Climate Change is in the Federal budget under various euphemistic names and project acronyms, folks. Affordable Climate Act, anyone?
Whadya expect when the Chief Scientist of the USA is a silver spoon fed divinity school dropout?! Inconvenient truth, indeed!

Oh. It’s the waviness of the polar vortex. OK, I never thought of the waviness of the thing.
Someone in my building was trying to tell me that because the Arctic ice is melting, it is making the Gulfstream colder, and that is causing the cold weather. I thought that sounded pretty good until I heard about the waviness of the polar vortex.
Back to journals from 16th century settlers, in the area which is now South Carolina and Georgia, there were vast orange groves. I believe that orange grove "line" is now somewhere down into Florida.
Not to mention the WWII planes buried under 260 feet of ice in Greenland....

When it dropped to -25 degrees in Ohio 1994, was that globull warming too? when it dropped to -20 degrees in Ohio in 1984, was that globull arming too? When the entire state was buried under several feet of snow during the blizzard of 1978, was that globull warming?
Global warming causes record cold in a process very similar to the way that going deeper into debt to pay more unemployment benefits creates economic growth.
If that’s confusing, bear in mind that this process is similar to the way heavily regulated centrally-planned health insurance makes health care “Affordable”.

Everything moves in cycles, which involves TIME.
TIME is beyond the comprehension of most humans.
To tell someone that a cycle may last for a couple hundred years causes them to yawn and move on.
For example, the Sun has a 22 year sunspot cycle, the North Atlantic Ocean Basin has a 30 year heating cycle, and the Northern Pacific Ocean Basin has a heating Cycle that is longer and more complex than the Atlantic.
Combining all these cycles, and unknown variables produces uncertainty for a long TIME prediction, and an educated guess for a short TIME prediction.
Each of these cycles are based on a set of assumptions that are tested against observations, the assumptions are revised, re-tested, etc, etc.
When tree rings, glacial moraines, sediments in lakes and Oceans are sampled and age dated we can begin to piece together the past.
The problem is that the impatience of an over eager non-scientist to jump to a conclusion without rigorous testing and re-testing produces a junk science which can achieve a cult status, such as we have today with “Global Warming.”
Back in the “Red Earth People” day the North Atlantic was so warm that they routinely traveled by water inside the Arctic Circle across waterways that are now coved by permanent Sea Ice.
As I said, 5,000 years ago was as warm as it got, and gradually, in small cycles, the Earth’s Atmosphere has been getting colder.
The good news is that there has never been a successful experiment that demonstrates a cause and effect relationship between the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere and the temperature change of the atmosphere.
Hence, my FRiends, drink all the carbonated juvenile adult beverages that you want, and free yourselves of any guilt that the Libs might throw your way!
BTW, water vapor is our most abundant Green House Gas at 25, 000 parts per Million.
CO2 is only 400 +/- parts per Million.
