Blasting Republican “climate-change deniers” as well as “blathering idiots on talk shows” who joked about the “Arctic vortex,” Rep. Peter DeFazio urged Congress to tackle climate change in 2014. He called it one of the “biggest challenges of our time.”
He wants the Obama administration to regulate carbon emissions as pollution. And “even if we take strong measures here, we’ve got to force those measures on other countries,” he said in a five-minute speech on the House floor Wednesday.
“Now how are we going to get China and other countries lined up on this?” DeFazio asked. …

It’s the result of a worldview that can’t credit God for knowing what He is about.
The earth already has known mechanisms built into it that serve as brakes to overly extreme climate shifts. And there are doubtless more we don’t know about, yet. If human scientists really wanted to know more, to get a better grasp on our situation, they would begin delving into these mechanisms, not just into Chicken Little’s sky.
DeFazio wants us to start a carbon tax and FORCE China to start a carbon tax, too. Yes, China will accept that, right after Obama join the Tea Party.

I can just see all those foreign countries who contribute to the world pollution problems jumping right on fixing it.
Of course, they will sit on their hands until the U.S. sends them the money to get the ball rolling.

It has not been scientifically proven that these trace amounts of atmospheric CO2 are changing anything in the planet’s climate that is even remotely statistically relevant. Right now Global Warming has been put on hold as none of the AGW climate models have proven anything and the Earth’s temperature is not cooperating. Princeton mathematician Freeman Dyson back filled the models with actual CO2 numbers and the results diverged from the climatic history, so much for the accuracy of the models. The fact is that the scientists have not yet been born, nor the engineers yet been trained, nor the software designed nor the sensing equipment yet conceived that could create an interplanetary climate model that predicts the Earth’s climate with anything remotely resembling accuracy. They are attempting brain surgery in an operating room with no light, using garden tools, and armed only with a plumbing certificate. Who is on the table? The taxpayer!
