“Why Would the Out-of-Work Vote Republican?”

So that they can continue to live in a nation that can afford to give them unemployment benefits, and, eventually, a new job.

You should be entitled to lifetime unemployment benefits (At the maximum rate) from the very day you drop out of high school until you die of old age, or a gunshot wound in a Chicago Drive-by.

“This, of course, assume the Dems would oppose it as an idea that would be too costly.”

Probably a dangerous assumption...

$50 per hour translates to what, $150 plus $5.25 per hour for their unions pals.

Then my shop rate would have to go from $99 hr to $300 hr. Why am I complaining?! Let’s do it, screw the country. I’ll buy that $15 gallon of milk...

She forgets that America was founded by out-of-work immigrants who came here for the opportunity to use their skills and make a living. Unfortunately little opportunity exists for the small business thanks to government regulation and unfair taxes based on the theory that all business owners are wealthy and unjustly enriched by exploiting their workers. Democrats would prefer we all work for major, unionized employers or be on government assistance. Perhaps that’s why our “poverty” level is so much higher than the rest of the world’s - it makes it that much easier to buy votes and destroys initiative to get ahead.

But the low info sheeple won't see that. They'll see "$50 an hour...omigosh...I'm rich."

CNN's Crowley: Why Would the Out-of-Work Vote Republican?

That's an easy question to answer, Candy...because its your messiah's policies to eliminate jobs.

Hope that helps, Candy.

Yep! And then it hits them that they are still poor, and that rich guy down the street is charging $300 hr to do repairs. So they need to be getting as much as him.

Poor is between the ears, not in the bank account or the lack thereof.

CNN's Crowley: Why Would the Out-of-Work Vote Republican?

Because they want to go back to work?

[Art.] "If I am an unemployed American ... or if I am a minimum wage worker and I see Republicans who say, 'You know what? It's artificial, it messes with the marketplace, it might mean some teens can't get into the job market,' why would I become a Republican?"

By spending 15 minutes watching and listening to you, you partisan cow.

Convincing a Serf...to accept change and risk....was a pretty hard thing when you consider all of the risks involved. You could fail, and the Lord of the estate wouldn’t be there to pick you up. You could trip over a problem, and find winter a very harsh environment. Out of a hundred folks in the Serf-line-of-work....I’d take a guess that only a quarter of them really wanted to venture out and firmly leave the Serf lifestyle in the very beginning.

There’s probably a good Animal Farm-like book here to be written....how a village of Serfs faired as the line of responsibility was tossed, and they found reality of capitalism to be too difficult for them to survive.

Free Republic's TSR: Why Would Anybody in a News Anchor Position Be So Freaking Fat?

Well, that question makes about as much sense as hers.
