How Chris Christie Can Save His Career
National Journal ^ | January 9, 2014 | Ron Fournier

Since 1992, when Bill Clinton moderated the Democratic Party's image by criticizing a hip-hop artist for her racially incendiary comments, politicians have searched for their "Sister Souljah moment" – when a candidate takes what appears to be a brave stand against extremes in their party.

In 2000, George W. Bush caricaturized conservative jurist Robert Bork in an attempt to appear more compassionate than the GOP brand. That same year, Republican presidential candidate John McCain demonized the far right's "agents of intolerance." Eight years later, Sen. Barack Obama distanced himself from his own pastor, calling Jeremiah Wright's racially charged comments "a bunch of rants that aren't grounded in the truth."

Fat boi is a pathetic liar.

I listened to the 107 minute press conference. He is an excellent liar, in a profession known for its liars. I doubt Obama or Bill Clinton could have done as well.

As for his future plans, unless there is an electronic trail that leads straight to his desk, I don't see this ending it. I doubt he sends text messages.

His fingers would be too fat.

Gov. Chris “Krispy Kreme” Christie could “grow” in office and morph into a Democrat! Democrats are never held accountable for anything. Felony convictions are resume enhancements.

I still can’t figure out how closing the GW bridge is payback for a Mayor who wronged the Governor. Anywhere in Virginia, road problems /lane shutdowns/heavy traffic always results in finger pointing towards Richmond - e.g. - the State government and not local officials. Also, isn’t the bridge a part of the major interstate system to New York? Was the Mayor personally on the bridge when this occurred and had to sit in traffic? I am totally out of the loop on this.

I really don’t understand it either, but now the NYT and MSM have decided that Christie will be the GOP presidential candidate and it’s their mission to destroy him. What will the GOP do? Run away, run away! To say that the collective GOP leadership amounts to cowardice is a gross insult to cowards everywhere.

Why would we want to save it. He was the RINO’s big hope in 2016. Kind of clears the field out for a serious candidate.

To good news is that Christie is toast....

The bad news is, that clears the way for Jeb.

Neither.

Look for a canidiate with TP leanings and the movement itself to take to GOP.

GWB is owned by PANYNJ, who’s administrators are appointed by the Governors of NY and NJ. This involved an administrator that was appointed by Christie.
