No, Obama didn't shut down national parks and memorials for political reasons - he shut them down to hurt people.

That's what the vindictive smarmy POS does. That's his political history. He views "winning" in politics by hurting "the people" so they clamor for the Government to step up and fix things.

That was Obama's intent in shutting down national parks and memorials - he wanted people to scream bloody murder at the Government to open things up, making the Government the "fixer" of all things.

Christie or his staff by proxy did the exact same thing.
