America Resembling Anti-Democratic Regime - Russia's Moment to Lead(?)
Pravda ^ | John Griffing

Posted on 01/10/2014 9:33:39 AM PST by sevinufnine

As Russia has changed, its former adversary - the United States of America - has also changed with breakneck speed. America is in rapid moral and institutional decline fueled by lawless government leaders and a seismic move away from God.

President Obama has dispensed with Congress, making laws out of thin air - surpassing the greatest violations of presidential power in recent years. Obama doesn't even bother to create the illusion of legitimacy. These actions make Obama a virtual king, potentate, dictator, ruler - and not the elected and accountable president of a sovereign people.

Obama changes existing laws that have been on the books for years, e.g. the Welfare Reform Act, without Congress. He writes laws, e.g. the Dream Act, without Congress. He passes treaties that have never been ratified, e.g. Law of the Sea Treaty, without Congress. And he even eliminates entire sections of his own healthcare reform law - all without seeking Congress to make amendments or pass revisions.

The U.S. Senate, once referred to as America's "greatest deliberative body," has been turned into a rubber-stamp for Obama's appointments and other whims - with Majority Leader Harry Reid's illegal rule change eliminating the filibuster for any major appointments. The healthcare bill was never really passed by the House of Representatives, either - since Democrat Speaker Nancy Pelosi "deemed" it passed before a roll-call vote. Democracy in action?

Can’t argue much with his point.

The DHS is buying a billion rounds of hollow point ammunition, a type of ammo only used to kill and severely maim, and not even used by law enforcement. Hollow point ammunition is largely prohibited in most contexts, making its sudden and large-scale acquisition by the DHS overtly conspicuous. In addition to its ammo buying spree, DHS is purchasing armored personnel carriers. DHS has also been conducting simulated target practice against families - mom, dad, and kids. When would families ever be a target and why would this ever be the case? DHS clearly has intentions at odds with American freedom and individual liberty.

Putin is certainly a ruthless killer and a bad guy, in general.

But he doesn’t hate Western Civilization, Jews, Christians, and white people in general. He also understands the enemy that is Islam and, to a degree, China.

Sadly, a huge improvement over Obama.

Yes, it’s a scary scenario we are now living in as Americans. The article is worth the read. I’m copying several excerpts into this post.

Here’s a scary detail about ObamaCare I didn’t know about. THEY CAN TAKE YOUR FREAKING HOME FOR GOD’S SAKE!

“Citizens are forced to buy products by the government, and can have their homes seized if they do not do this (ObamaCare allows tax liens for individuals who do not buy Obama’s mandated health insurance.)”

Morality is inseparable from “law.” The American founding fathers understood this very well:

Samuel Adams - It is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. The only foundation of a free constitution is pure virtue.

Benjamin Franklin - Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.

Benjamin Rush - The only foundation for a useful education in a republic is to be laid in religion. Without this there can be no virtue, and without virtue there can be no liberty, and liberty is the object and life of all republican governments.

I can’t deny I’ve postulated the scenario in which, as America has slipped into darkness, becoming a corrupt, one-party banana-republic, with open-borders, and embracing cultural degeneracy like dope and fag-marriage, America, in its state of rot, will become a real force for evil in the world. Reversing the cold-war dichotomy, it might be fated in this 21st-century that Russia becomes the moral light, and last hope of Western civilization. That seems to be the direction things are heading.

Surreal to imagine. But increasingly conceivable. Especially as America has become such a truly depraved nation.

I know. Imagine that? Americans (moral conservatives that is) may soon want to move to Russia in droves. But would they have us?

here’s a good article on that subject:

My guess as to why? Ever hear the phrase “keep your friends close, and keep your enemies closer”?

“But would they have us?” They might have you for as long as you’ve got money to steal, but based upon a close friends observations during a trip to Russia, the Russian populace is possessed of deep seated hatred toward US Americans and all things having to do with it except of course....blue jeans and music.

Can you blame them? The current generation had nothing to do with the cold war or problems between our countries in the past. Yet today many young Americans of the same age group categorizes them as evil.

I don’t speak Russian, so I could never go anyway. It would certainly be a difficult life over there for any American immigrant, no doubt.

Oh, I think your drop dead correct about it being difficult to immigrate and to actually live there. Odd thing is however, that in my quest to read to the end of the Internet, I’ve come across scores of blogs authored by Americans who have done just that. And it isn’t altogether clear to me just why they immigrated to Russia. The recurring statement, which I find altogether weird, is “I moved to Russia to marry my current wife with whom I fell in love while on vacation in ___________.” (Not always Russia).

I must admit, I’ve met some incredibly beautiful Russian women, but the cultural differences are so huge I can’t imagine anyone successfully bridging them. Women are from Venus to begin with.........Russian women are from the Far Side of Venus. I know, I’ve spent quite a bit of time talking to them.

“only used to kill and severely maim, and not even used by law enforcement. Hollow point ammunition is largely prohibited in most contexts”

That’s simply not true. Hollow point is widely used by Local, State, and Federal cops and has been for decades. It’s also widely used by regular people for their ccw and defense loads.
It is only prohibited in a few oddball places like New Jersey, NYC, San Fran,,, etc.

In most of the country it is normal and legal.

Best summary of the criminal in the WH. And Congress sits idly by so they keep their cushy gig. We really have reversed into the Soviet Union.

That’s not accurate. They generally love Americans, but simply despise our government. I cant imagine anyone visiting there coming out with the idea that Russian people hate Americans.

Unless of course, a person is in such solidarity with their government that they see themselves as hated when a person hates the US government.

We’ve rejected God while Russia opens her arms to God; we have had our choices and chances and for now, God has taken the hint and withdrawn his blessings.
