Fox News chief Roger Ailes released a book recently and has been on a book tour promoting it. In the process, Ailes gave an interview to the Hollywood Reporter in which he suggested that CNN was "out of the news business" due to its increased reliance on human-interest and sensationalism.
Those comments apparently didn't sit well with CNN head Jeff Zucker.
Zucker today spouted off about Fox News' political influence, saying "the Republican Party is being run out of NewsCorp headquarters, masquerading as a news channel."
Considering that part of Ailes' initial interview was that he was not particularly worried about CNN, it's doubtful Ailes would consider this outburst particularly meaningful.
Still, Republican National Committee head Reince Priebus set the record straight.

If you listen to NBC Nightly News closely, you can plainly tell that the focus and order of the news stories follow the daily marching orders of the DNC.
But CNN tells me that the GOP and especially the Tea Party are dead. There aren’t any Republicans left. If that’s true, how can Fox or Newscorp be running the Republican Party, and still trounce CNN in ratings? That makes no sense.

Compared to the others you’re right. But there has been an increase in parroting administration talking points. Fox is still the best.
Fox is taking over the news business, and holds market share which eclipses all others.
CNN once led the market. Completely.

I happen to think it is, that CNN has a liberal bias, along with the other “mainstream” networks.
Though I think Fox still has a bias, it is nowhere as bad as everyone else’s.
Fox’s bias is toward RINOs. They really need to climb down from that. Otherwise they are pretty darned good.
Fox is in the lead because CNN stood down on the primary job. Which was supposed to be DELIVERING NEWS.
Now you go to Fox for real news.

No the Y2K alarms were as bogus as global warming/climate change. Fox is much better than ABCCBSNBCCNN. But I to see an incremental shift. It may be I tune in at the wrong times and catch isolated incidents of DNC talking points reported as news. I get most of my news from other sources since I am not a TV Guy. I am not condemning Fox by any meas.

I don’t. I see far, far too much party orthodoxy on Fox. Still they are light-years ahead of CNN and the other leftist pablum out there, but Fox is far too RINO for my liking.
I wish Fox would throw caution to the wind, and start broadcasting support for the Tea Party, myself.

CONSERVATIVES are being run out of fox news but republicans that are progressive and fall inline with ailes and murdoch... along with flaming progressives from satan’s party... are doing quite well at fox. Yes. Sarah is back but she and hannity are just token Conservatives... juan williams is fox news mainstream today.

It was Jeff Zucker himself who recently announced that CNN would be turning to more entertainment programming — a policy he’s already adopted by hiring Anthony Bourdain to produce prime-time shows.
Anthony Bourdain is not a news anchor, he’s a celebrity chef.
So when Roger Ailes states that CNN is ‘’getting out of the news business’’ he’s telling the truth. But, of course, nothing infuriates liberals like Jeff Zucker more than a Conservative who tells the truth.
I find Fox way left..until I catch a glimpse of CNN.
Fox moves toward the ratings and that is what businesses should do. If they go too far left they will start to drop and as a business move back the other direction until they find equilibrium. That's the capitalist system.
