China -- which until now has worked alone as it pursues an ambitious space program -- seems more open to international co-operation, especially with the United States, European and American experts say.
“There is a change in the Chinese attitude, with a call for cooperation in space. And Americans aren’t reticent -- on the contrary,” said Jean-Yves Le Gall, head of the French space agency CNES.
Le Gall spoke Thursday as he left a meeting in Washington of high-level envoys from 30 space-faring nations discussing ways to pool efforts to explore the stars. The conference continued Friday with space agency chiefs.
Yet, one more scheme by the Chinese to steal the R&D and other developments that the US has accomplished...once China has access to the data and technology - we become that annoying person at the party and will be asked to leave...
Nothing good will come out of this...China has a lot of growing up to do - and treating it's people with a certain basic level of humanity would be a start and stop polluting their nation in exchange for economic wealth...and now they want to enter space....

Cooperation with the Chinese in space? Does this mean the clueless U.S. will get a cut rate fare for astronauts for jaunts in space with their Chinese counterparts?
We desperately need an administration that puts America first and tends to the important business at home like defending our borders and clearing out the nests of illegals and Muslims. Another job that occupies the top of the ‘to do’ lists is to chop the central socialist government into little pieces and eliminate completely the onerous taxes like those on corporate profits.
We need ‘leaders’ who understand that most of the agencies of this government are our enemies: like the EPA! Further, we need a strong Conservative government that reads history and is aware of the fact that up until 1948 2/3 of ALL automobiles on earth were made in the USA. This is not to mention radios, toasters, irons, vacuum cleaners, etc. etc. etc.
Political correctness must be killed and buried. Homosexuals need to be hauled down from their pedestals the looney leftists have placed them.
Agreed - our manufacturing sector and varied farm produce needs to be rebuild and never allowed to be taken out again...it is amazing how fast manufacturing industry here in the US was shut down and “everything” is coming out of China per goods that the average citizen uses...so - it wouldn’t take long to revitalize it in the near future!

Well, they got the dough and we don’t, and pretty soon, they will have the only space station.
As for the technology transfer, that for sure will happen.
America please wake up.
China makes everything sold anymore in America.
We need to return American industry and make stuff once again. We need significant import tariffs, and we need to make things here.

Here’s how it goes. We give all of our technology and aerospace companies to China and they promise to take our people and stuff into space when there is an opening in their schedule.
