Investigators believe the attacks originated from eastern Europe, which almost certainly implicates an organized crime ring; Russia, Serbia, Kosovo...

Hey didn't Bill Clinton liberate some of those countries?

I was in Target yesterday and was surprised to see so many shopping there.

While making a deposit at the bank yesterday my teller used this story and the Niemen Marcus breach as an opportunity to show me a brochure that offers me additional protection to my accounts for $10 a month.

I looked at her and said “but you’re the bank! Are you saying that the money I leave with you COULD be more secure and you’re not already doing that?”

She had no answer.

Wait the government will have a solution. It will be a patch that will put on the wrist or head for scanning.

Target and J.C. Penney Co Inc. waited more than two years to admit that they were victims in 2007 of notorious hacker Albert Gonzalez, who was accused of masterminding the theft and reselling of millions of credit cards and ATM numbers.

During his trial the companies were represented by lawyers who did not identify their clients as Target and J.C Penney.

Albert Gonzales never went to trial. He pled guilty ahead of the trial as part of a deal negotiated with the feds. So how much of this article can you trust when they get this basic fact wrong?

And, to get right to the heart of the matter, has anyone ever identified "segvec"? Or put him out of business - permanently? If not, then what are the CIA and FBI for, anyway?

I like Target, but the items I use the most are cheaper at SAM’s or WalMart. I opened a “red” card at Target to save 5% and it be drawn from my bank as a debit, but it never worked. So, I don’t even try. Maybe that was a warning from God! Anyway, I am finding I don’t need as much and since it is a drive into town, I try to get by with local stuff. When I have an appt., or something to go into town for, then I shop the big stores.
