I remember these cold times in years gone by. But weathermen were different. They didn't use big important words like vortex or hate wave.
They said very cold or very hot and bundle up or take a shower....now its....we're all gonna die!!!!

I’m still in favor of calling it a “Polar Haboob”, which now makes even more sense, since, ahem, Haboobs come in pairs.

Not here in SoCal, were looking at 80 deg. temps for the next two weeks. For us it’s the drought that’s a recurring theme. I am expecting the “earthquake weather” stories to start.

Yes, Al Gore warned us that Global Warming could cause Planetary Cooling, so we must stop Global Warming before we all freeze to death.

Could BASEBALL be the root cause of Global Warming? Just think of the thousands of huge light bulbs burnt for every night game, all during a concentrated season. How much heat do they generate hours at a time?
NO MORE NIGHT GAMES could be the answer.
Sadly, there are people who will agree with this drivel.

I’m looking at our Minnesota forecast and it is pretty much normal temps (17 high, 0 low). Is this considered a polar vortex now?

It got butt ugly cold here too
. and yeah it set a record (but only by a degree or two). We were at 2 on the thermometer but minus 25 with wind chill.
I always thought it was the 9th wave

I saw a really nice ski jacket made out of polar vortex...
To: sickoflibs
The more rapid the global warming the more severe the polar vortex.
The higher the summer temperatures, the lower the winter temperatures, don’t you see?

I think we're making up for the distinct lack of tropical vortexes this past year.
What's more, I'm predicting a significant increase in temperate vortii this spring.

Funny... When I was a kid in the 70’s we used to call them “Siberian Express”... no big deal, just another cold front heading for town.
The MSM have found a new shinny term for an OLD storm... yawn.
Next!

The weak minded can’t add two and two but they’re Global Warming experts. Gore where are you? We’re talking about you.
